Loaded EQ2 just now and the start up page appeared in French. My settings are English. I closed down as obviously I can't read French, started it up again and now it's another foreign language looks like Greek or Russian??

It states on top left corner and bottome right corner that the page is in English.

Am about to go in game now - I just hope the game itself is in English.

**************

Third time lucky - start up page now in English.

Mine did the same thing, except it was German. I just selected English from the selector and that cleared it up on that go. Have not restarted again as I think servers are still down.

I've had mine start up in Russian as well, restarting it corrected it. It has been reported and we'll do our best to eliminate what can cause this.

Just had LP4 come up in Italian. As an experiment, I quit out, ran my batch file to delete all the cached stuff, then restarted LP4. This time it came up in English. Interesting and suggestive, even if it doesn't prove anything....

It seems to be intermittent and pretty random.

Probably true. I don't think the data that gets cached stores anything relevant. But I know that if I had not cleared the caches, someone would ask me if I had.

I actually thought the problem had gone away because I hadn't seen or heard about any cases in quite a while. I reported it as a reminder that it's still lurking in the background somewhere.

We haven't received a report on it in quite some time, I'll double check with the LP team to see if it has been officially resolved.

Mine just launched in Spanish, I think. I cannot even be angry any more. I just laugh. The entertainment is no longer the game itself, but the production - the presentation.

-Miz
