Hi,

After the AOD expansion, I am others experienced many crashs from shader 3.0. Since that time, the shaders were patched to fix the problem, and I rarely crash now from this bug. But the problem still exists in the Drunder zones. I am several others all crash pretty much at the same time in the various drunder zones, even with spell effects turned off. After turning off shader 3.0, this problem stopped. Its pretty must the game freezes, and you have to shut down the game and restart.(the program has stopped responding)

Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: EverQuest2.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.1 Application Timestamp: 4eddb677 Fault Module Name: EverQuest2.exe Fault Module Version: 1.0.0.1 Fault Module Timestamp: 4eddb677 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00aac777 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.4 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

I am using windows 7, with a quad core and gtx570 card.

If your suffering from the same type of crashs, turn off shader 3.0 and please reply to this post.

I am not having the crashing issue from shader 3. I have a Nvidia GT 560 TI card with the latestt whlq certified drivers on windows 7 64 bit. I am having the butcherblock tecture issue that someone posted below. Going back to shader 1 fixed that issue (Kobold tectures missing), but you takea performance hit doing that which in my case is about 10 FPS. I have a quad core Intel I7 2600k and 8 GB of memory. I started crashing going back to shader 1 when I enter my guild hall.

Hopefully you can figure out what is going on with shader 3. The texture issue in Butcherblock, started with the Tuesday patch.

Really, there's a bug in butcherblock with the kobolds? that's where my character was when my eq2 basically broke (fan gets super noisy now and system goes incredibly slowly, even if i quit, forcing me to shut it down; don't know if my system is damaged in some way)

When the game is loading up everything and is on screen I'd assume your GPU usage went to 100% and the heat built up.

Just ... thought i would put that out there.. .since well apparently alot changed.

Just a matter of identifying which texture is problematic and repairing it. I am not a dev so I am not part of that particular process but I'll provide updates when they come to me.
