EQ2 Vs Steam

<p>I bought DoV Thru steam and therefore i start i thru steam.</p><p>This however isnt flawless. For example, Eq2 thru steam never starts thru the launchpad.</p><p>And therefore when i start the game it goes directly into the game without</p><p>going thru launchpad. So i never know when there has been any updates</p><p>unless something is really f*b*r ingame, like today. I had over 7 million in life,</p><p>couldnt access my salescrates at broker and had like 184.000.000 plat.</p><p>Either fix this or dont sell anything thru steam please....</p>

I had over 7 million in life,</p><p>couldnt access my salescrates at broker and had like 184.000.000 plat.</p><p>Either fix this or dont sell anything thru steam please....</p></blockquote><p>Steam is simply a reseller.  The software and overlays they decide to develop really have nothing to do with whether we let that retailer sell our product.  We can't support steam any more than they can support EQII directly.  This is no different than loading up any other retailers 3rd party software, they are welcome to develop systems in any way they please.</p><p>We do our best to support the functionality like our recent inclusion of dev support over the steam overlay, but whether the steam application itself executes the game properly is outside of anything SOE can directly affect other than to make recommendations to Steam.</p>

And i dont belive for a second that steam does any work</p><p>to make the game updates work 100%. Its rather that the exe files that starts the</p><p>game that the game developers point to the right place. So im sorry, i dont buy</p><p>it that its steam fault that it doesnt work 100%. Its your product, and if you cant</p><p>make it work 100% even if sold thru a reseller, there is something really wrong</p><p>on your side. And dont give me that support steam c**p. Iv bought YOUR game,</p><p>you should SUPPORT ME. If you cant support a game sold thru steam and its upgrades,</p><p>its incompetence from your side. Iv bought the game, im paying you monthly so</p><p>dont come with excuses that puts the blame on others then yourself. That makes</p><p>me really angry!</p>

<p>Since its so hard, lets make it easy for you!</p><p>EQ2.exe is what steam uses to start the game and probably</p><p>alot of other people too...</p><p>How about to remove it completly and make LaunchPad.exe the</p><p>one and only gamestarter? Or should i have 2 choices?</p><p>Is 1 wrong or is both right to use?</p><p>Start the game thru launchpad, and when pressing the start</p><p>button the launchpad window is closed. Not like now, game starts</p><p>AND the launchpad window is still up! Why?</p>
