I have had no issues with getting the installer to run. However, every single time the game says it is done, when I click on the Play icon, nothing happens for about a minute until I get "EQ2 Client Application has stopped working." The error box says the following.

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Name: EverQuest2.exe

Application Version: 1.0.0.1

Application Timestamp: 4ee14ac7

Fault Module Name: vivoxsdk.dll

Fault Module Version: 3.0.5.7314

Fault Module Timestamp: 4aae9905

Exception Code: c0000094

Exception Offset: 0030529b

OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Locale ID: 4105

Additional Information 1: 0a9e

Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

Additional Information 3: 0a9e

Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

Read our privacy statement online:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?lin...mp;clcid=0x0409

If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline:

C:Windowssystem32en-USerofflps.txt

I am currently running Windows 7 Home Premium on a laptop that is only 4 months old. I have tried running the program as an administrator, I have the program installed into the public folder...I've tried turning off my Windows Firewall as well as my Virus software, and gone so far as to add the executables to my exception list manually. I've checked all of my hardware drivers, I've tried loading the game at a lower performance setting, and while I don't use Internet Explorer as my default browser, I have checked it's version and made sure it is not running on any Proxy.

I have no idea what I am supposed to do at this point. I have been trying for a week to get into this game so I can play with my son that lives 5 hours away over the holidays. Can anyone give me some advice? Please??

The faulting module is indicating our Voice Chat service is causing the appcrash.

What brand/model of router do you have and can you reproduce this issue if you bypass the router altogether and hardwire your PC straight to your modem?

My fiance is currently playing fine on another laptop connected to the same Dlink router. There are three laptops in the house, all are HP's of various model number. I am currently installing the game on the third and final laptop (don't usually use it as the battery is pwned and it's not at my house).

Unfortunately with the ISP she have, the modem will only support a single wired connection. I have not yet tried to connect the laptop with the problem up to the wireless router (am currently running a defrag on it as well as a full virus scan).

My concern is this, if the other two laptops of her's appear to run the game fine, are of similar make and attached to the same router/modem, what is the underlying issue with my own laptop? Is it possible I have a corrupted version of vivosxdk or similar dll file? And if this is the case, how would I go about repairing this?

Thank you for your quick response!

Disable anything like that and try again.

On my most recent attempt I had all firewall and virus scanners turned off. Unfortunately I had the same result.

I have manually downloaded and posted into my game folder a new vivoxsdk.dll file in case the old one had been corrupted. I am at my work place attached to a separate wifi connection. When I click the green Play icon, my cursor changes to the spinning loading symbol. After a moment, the Play icon goes from Playing back to Play, but nothing else happens. I openned the advanced tools and this is what I had shown...note that it does say it is replacing the vivoxsdk.dll file. Now that it has finished scanning all the games files and says all filtes are up to date. But when I click play, same thing. It goes from Play to Playing, pauses for a bit, then changes back. On a positive note, I no longer crash with the warning I'd started with. Still not playing though.

Any ideas?

You may need to find the network admin and provide him with our port information. We have an article with this information in our Knowledge Base which I've linked for you below

https://help.station.sony.com/app/a...tail/a_id/12293

We contracted out our IT for this location and I am unable to reach him to get the admin password to log into the router. Guess that makes me stuck for now. Now that I have the new .dll file I'm just secretly hoping that when I get home tonight it miraculously works for me.

Thanks for all the help!

Just to follow up our conversation yesterday, the client did not load anything last night from home. Exactly the same result. Starts with Play, then goes to Playing, pauses, then goes back to Play again. I've checked the pre-assets and everything is loaded.

Thinking of just doing a System Restore or an reinstall of Windows on this laptop to see if that helps, unless you have any other suggestions?

We're still optimizing and resolving issues introduced with the LP4 streaming release.

I'll give that a try. Haven't had time to run the restore yet but I'll try the full assets first. Thanks Joshua.

You're welcome, I'm sorry it's a time consuming resolution but I do believe you'll be pleased once you make the transition.
