BF was just asking me about this a couple days ago.

What happens if a free member(free or silver, his account is silver) were to experience a game breaking bug say, during a quest? He can't petition a GM, and the knowlege base isn't going to solve this. The recent issues threads are NEVER up to date.

Mostly curious because he used to play Age of Conan. The GMs have had to forward his quests for him on a few occasions because there was a bug that would prevent him from continuing. It was a weird one, didn't happen reliably enough to pinpoint a cause, but frequent enough to get a load of complaints. I myself have had to have quests advanced(well, A quest) here in EQ2 because a quest did not update correctly(took lord bob down to the bottom, got the cache, but the quest to escort his butt didn't update).

How is this handled as a free to play member that cannot use the GMs? /bug seems to be completely ignored, or doesn't produce swift results. Granted, I(gold member) could always petition it *for* him, or put a note on the forums or something, but that doesn't help anyone else.

If the bug is global it will still be addressed but if its a unique situation his best bet would be to drop the quest and start it again unless he would like to become a Gold member to receive GM support.

Free and silver members do not receive any other means of support outside of the KB unless it relates specifically to real money transaction based issues.
