Quicky question....

Have the veterans rewards been added to all accounts yet? I have earned rewards I would like to use on a new character, and I dont have the tab in the claims window yet. My account says I have 6 years +. Account creation 2004. Active sub for most of that time.

Thanks!

ps: I dont mean to cross post, but the general section topic has become a debate about who deserves the rewards and who doesnt. And no longer informational.

I placed a petition, and this was the response:

Your subscription tier qualifies you for the Knowledge Base level of support, which you can find here: http://tinyurl.com/EverQuestIISupport. While we won't be able to help you directly, our Knowledge Base contains a robust set of answers, fixes and workarounds for commonly encountered questions and problems.

Here are a few links that will help get you using our Knowledge Base like a pro:http://soe-ing.custhelp.com/app/ans...tail/a_id/12648 - This link will bring you to our Top Known Issues (TKI) page for EverQuest II. We regularly update this page based on the top issues that our players report to us, so it's not a bad idea to check this page on a regular basis.http://www.everquest2.com/free - This link will point you to our Membership Matrix, which will allow you to get an overview of what is offered at each Membership Levelhttp://soe-ing.custhelp.com/app/ans...tail/a_id/16213 - Going here will bring you to a page with links to all of our current policies and rules that you might expect to encounter. If you still would like to speak directly to a representative, you will need to upgrade to a Gold membership. Upgrading to Gold lets you use some of the game's most powerful items (such as Legendary and Fabled items), upgrade to the most powerful spells and skills, gives you access to all 24 classes in the game (up from the original eight offered at Free and Silver), seven character slots, access to six backpack slots, no per character coin limit, access to the player-controlled Broker system, in-game mailing privileges, and more! You'll not only broaden your access to the game, but you'll be eligible to receive some of the best customer support in this industry. We hope this reaches you well, and that we get a chance to talk really soon!

First, the patronizing attitude of this email clearly was a copy paste. This person did not read my petition. Second, my account cleary states I have over 6 1/2 years of rewards earned in EQ2, regardless of account level. Thirdly I know how to use the knowledge base. I have been a customer for 12+ years. Fourthly, really? I cant get assistance on a a problem that clearly was a promised perk to Silver level accounts? I have to upgrade to get help with a silver level issue? What??

And finally, Smokejumper said this would happen. All I want to know is if this is fixed and my account was missed, or the issue is still being addressed and to patiently wait. Thats all I want to know!

Since I have hit a dead end with CS, do I post here to get a resolution?

Sorry to sound annoyed, but that is the worst customer service I have ever received from SOE. Are the Silver account holders really second class customers?

I too have gotten the same exact CS response to my petition. I know i am only a silver level accout, but I have not found activate Vet Rewards Potion in the station market place. Please fix this issue, or state that silver accounts are no longer able to claim Vet rewards. I been a member of EQ2 since Day 1. Enough Said...

We're aware of the missing vet rewards for some players and a fix will go out across the board.

As for Silver Members not receiving GM support that is very true and well explained in all of the F2P announcements leading up to the launch. Free and Silver members only receive KB help with issues that are not real money transaction based issues.

Just for future reference:

If I earn a reward in the future due to time played, via an expansion perk, or any of the 30+ items already purchased in the past, I cannot get assistance with account related issues unless I am a gold member? Even if the knowledge base (which is where I am directed to receive more informaton) does not contain the information needed, or tools to fix the issue without customer service? The knowledge base is lacking all current information about the F2P change what should be done in each circumstance.

Can you clarify what we should do in the following examples:

1-I buy the next expansion, and I dont receive the item bundled with it, I cannot get assistance with the item missing? I basically am a second class customer without the ability to recieve assistance?

2-I log in one day and a character is missing due to a database bug. I just have to deal with it or upgrade?

3-I log in 6 months from now and do not have access to my veterans rewards due to an account error.

4-SOE gets hacked again and I cannot access my account at all.

I would like to have clarification as this will determine if I continue playing and if I encourage my friends to return to playing as well.

Thank you.

You buy an expansion and something is missing from it. This is tantamount to not receiving what you pay for, and is considered a real money transaction based issue, which free/silver members will always receive support for (just not from a GM, you need a billing rep, so open a support ticket.

2.) Database bugs will affect everyone and will be addressed globally and has very little chance, especially with backups, of happening at all or going unnoticed.

3.) This won't happen unless its global like it was with this expansion release and the launch of a new product EQII Free-to-Play. Global issues will be addressed - globally.

4.) Access to your account, with actions such as logging in to www.soe.com, has nothing to do with any games that may be under that account and you will always receive assistance with this.

SOE will always support any customer, regardless of free to play status or anything else, with issues that involve real money transactions or access to your account itself and its access.
