entire client freezing at "Loading Entity Resources" while trying to get to char select

<p>WARNING: I am NOT a techie...I've no clue how to show you all the stuff on my system...SO that being said</p><p>Yes I have the correct launcher...ie not the stopwatch version...I went to log in around 1am cst and found a nice 140 patch waiting on me...ok fine...did the patch and every since then I've been unable to log in.  I get to "loading entity resources" trying to get to character select and everything freezes to the point where I have to bring up the task mgr to shut it down. </p><p>When responding to this post PLEEEEEEEEASE take into consideration that you're ARE speaking to a resonably intelligent person..just NOT a techie. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

I usually run at very high settings, but I have found that by ratcheting them down a notch or two, it seems to help a bit.</p><p>One other thing I did was to replace the main loading music - "MX_GU62_MAIN_THEME.mp3" - with an older intro. As the crashing happens whilst loading to character select, it was worth a shot. The only caveat is that you need to whip up a batch file to replace this file each time you run the launcher. It auto updates each time you launch.</p><p>At any rate, at least I have seemed to figure out how to greatly lessen the occurence of this issue.</p><p>Best of luck!</p><p><span style="font-size: xx-small;">**edit for spelling</span></p>
