Hm, is that ability from one of your AAs? Could it only affect certain pets and not others?

Not sure myself but first thing I could think of.

Turnstrike is a Troub/Dirge AA that gives them a 10 sec AE immunity whenever they use it, 1 min recast.

This is not a bug. Whenever the scout pet was changed from whatever it was before to the bard it is now, they made it mostly aoe immune since unlike the mage pet, it has to be up close for it's attacks and to get any dps at all in. It was all to make it a more viable pet. It saddly failed since the mage is still such superior dps.

Worthless, broken pet, with an ability that the mage pet needs. Sounds about right. Our requests won't be answered, now that they gave us the reanimate bandaid.

Almost always has sucked.

How is 5% potency worth fixing? I'm just saying.

Sure, things need to work, I totally agree. The problem is that there is fixing and there is balancing and frankly both need serious attention atm.

Through testing, the scout pet only does half the damage of the mage pet. --> my post about the damage http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=511199 lots of parses/testing

Imagine if this is how the game was for all other classes imagine if all mage classes did twice as much DPS as any scout class.

While I applaud your zeal in pursuit of this worthy goal, I'd like to point out in true BSG tradition that "All this has happened before, and all this will happen again."

To wit: You are not the first to extensively parse the differences between the various Summoner pets and note that they are ludicrously broken. It's been pointed out and flatly ignored many times before. Unfortunately.
