Is it now supposed to do melee damage instead of ranged damage? The description says ranged attack but the effect does melee damage and it's turning on melee auto attack instead of ranged.

oh geeze, good call. I hadn't even noticed. This explains why my auto attack has been all fudged up. *sigh*

I would call it a bug and I hope they fix it soon. It's really annoying and hurting my dps.

This was messing me up so bad, I just took it off my hotbar for now. I hope someone fixes it soon.

It is pretty annoying especially since Snaring Shot has such a low reuse, making this bug quite 'frequent.' Would be a nice time to get the 'default auto attack' option implemented as well.

Temporary fix is to add a macro to it that turns your ranged auto attack on (/autoattack 2).

I'm hoping this can be remedied in the next hotfix. Or if it's not a bug, some sort of explanation why a long time ranged CA now acts like a melee one.

The snaring shot if fixed. But there are still issues - namely my sniper shot (after coverage) is now NOT turning on ranged autoattack, exactly like the snaring shot "bug".

Example 2: when I use a melee attack (Bloody Reminder) and macro /autoattack 2 on the next line it used to turn on autoattack - surprise it still does, BUT on the second use it toggles auto attack off! Get a training dummy, set it up and just use bloody with the macro to test it.

Step one use BR, it will turn on ranged autoattack, wait for it to come back up.

Step two, hit BR again - watch the ranged autoattack toggle OFF???? (I am not hitting the button when its not "up" yet either)

I did this multiple times -- please look into this it is affecting game play and is very frustrating.

Please check all melee attacks with this method, this is happening multiple times during fights and compensating for the malfunction is very taxing in a raid/group setting.

Thanks, Kareeon on BB

It's comical to me that they can code an entire new class with new mechanics without implementing a likely-easy fix for a zero-day ranger bug.
