Ok, i usually don't get too upset about little mistakes... but this really makes me upset.

I purchased the Iksar Race SC750, and the Shadowknight Class SC750. Which amounts to 1500 Station cash. I purchased these in combination in order to play my main... which surprisingly enough is the above mentioned combination.

However, when i logged into the game to play my character i find that i can't use my gear which just happens to be all legendary and fabled... THAT makes me extremely upset.

I didn't think that research was necessary to log into the game and use my character's gear that i worked so hard to obtain before i purchased the combination of class/race. Why would i? Now i'm down $15 and in order for me to play... i have to upgrade to a gold pass??? Doing that gives me all the classes and races anyway... why would i want to do that? I don't appreciate this change in the requirements to play the game. I only wanted to purchase the class/race so that i could enjoy the game when i felt like playing it... which is like once in a blue moon. But now that i gotta pay like a regular consumer which is $15 a month i feel cheated out of my money.

Is a refund possible for my account? A Station CSR reply would be nice. TY.

As for a refund you will need to contact our support staff directly to discuss this with a billing representative.

A question I have would be how did you obtain the gear in the first place? Were you a former EQII Live or Extended player? Outside of several concerns being addressed by SmokeJumper's latest announcement, you would have need to have a membership or subscription prior to the merge in order to use this gear then, right?

TSR-JoshuaM - If folks hadnt logged in since the last unattunement, all there gear is overflowing or in bags. So even with SJ's new announement, ppl are being stuck with having to item unlock due to the unattunement. A few folks mentioned this to me ingame.

Those will always fall under your membership level.

You either previously acquired it in Extended as a gold member or you already have the items unlocked. Or you were a previous EQII Live subscriber. In either case to maintain full access to gear tiers you need a membership level (or item unlockers!) to support it. This is not what was addressed and I don't foresee this changing.

Then i believe that this should be absolutely clear before purchasing with a message IN GAME. Not on a website. Not everyone alt tabs, or searches web sites for all the information before they buy something. A lot of us long time players assume we get what we played/paid for. Not that we're nickle and dimed beyond playing our own characters.

I was a former EQ2 Live player, on the Guk Server. I obtained all my gear from doing dungeons and all that sort of thing while i played. I didn't expect to have to pay for every piece of gear i own again, which is $1.50 per 5. This is a bit outrageous.

I'm a long time SOE fan/user, and i've been there through the ups and downs of the company. All i want is to be able to use my characters gear, or have my $15 refunded back to me, or used to give me the options available for a gold membership.

I see nothing wrong with this. Obviously it "is" possible to refund Station Cash, since there's a post about doing so on your main page for people who had the same problem as me. But to my luck, i did the mistake 4 hours after the post said it was redeemable for refund.

It would cost you a max of 600SC to reequip those items and then not have to pay a penny (until you next want to equip a legendary or higher item). In comparison with $15 a month, that's a bargain, alternatively you can put those items in a bag and get a guildie help you obtain some Mastercrafted gear and pay nothing. You have choices, previously Sony wanted $15 up front to let you even access character select to check what characters you used to have.

Unfortunately i was left out on the loop of this "grandfathering" and have yet to hear from a real GM about the issue. If they could grandfather my character in, i'd be ok with that, but i'm still out $15 that i could have used to help me acquire my items in game. I should have been giving the sk/iksar combo for free since they grandfathered everyone in. That is the real issue here. Not the items. I just want a refund for the station cash i spent to activate my character/class so that i could use that towards unlocking all my items.

(as a silver, you get 4 bags instead of 6.) he'll be getting gold this weekend; however, there will be times when he is silver and the unlockers are totally worth it.
