View Full Version : So all 9 of my characters were available yesterday...today only 8. Help!

<p>Maybe there was another post about this issue already but I didn't notice it. I am a gold subscriber, have been for some time...before the expac came out, I had 8 toons. I purchased a 9th slot to create my beatlord, and this morning one of my toons is showing locked. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks. </p>

<p>same here, I had 2 added from the extended server who I could play yesterday and today they are locked and I am a monthly subscriber. Wait and see if I get them for free like was posted.</p>

I quickly bought a character slot to regain access to the lost toon. (wasn't it a potion or token at this point?)</p><p>DoV launch - About a month after launch, I bought another character slot (allowing me one for each tradeskill) putting my toon count at nine.</p><p>Yesterday -- I bought another slot to roll a beastlord and, upon creation, I had swear it said I had ten active toons. I briefly logged in with the new toon and then logged out. Upon returning a couple of hours later, my SK was locked.</p><p>One thing that is happening in both cases is that we each bought a character slot yesterday .. that cannot be a coinky-dink! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>Thanks, brigh, it helps to know that someone else is in the same boat. I too, have NEVER made a toon on teh eq2x servers. I am sure they will get it fixed, just a little disheartening, is all. ...I bet they are swamped. </p>

I updated my ticket with a link to this convo, so maybe we'll both get some traction.</p>
<p>It could be cause that server was not finished loading yet. You might relog and try again, as I was having the same problem but then realized Everfrost had not loaded yet...</p>

<p>I'm missing half of my characters on more than one account. They were all there yesterday - today I only have three one oune account, and four on the others. They are all live, none were EQx or EU.</p>

<p>Just tossing another name in. I bought a slot for my BL and played it, then today i come home and my Inquis is locked. Someone fix this please, they dang sure still charged me for the slot!</p>

<p>I have a bunch locked now that weren't yesterday, and it's some of my best toons on my main server. Someone is tweaking something it's happened on more than one account for me.</p>

<p>My unlocked characters resolved itself, though I'm not sure if it' related to my petition or some hiccough that worked it's way through....I think the grandfathering idea was an EXCELLENT one on yall's part, even though it doesn't affect me, as I've no intention of stopping my subscription. I think it will benefit you more then a hard stance would have.</p>

He was very, very helpful and said they got everything fixed for me so that when I logged in I would see all 9 toons available to play.</p><p>It was ticket # 111209-000810. I have not purchased any extra character slots, but I do have a fully paid account in good standing since 2004, where Sony automatically deducts the subscription cost from my credit card every month. I checked my account information on the credit card site and the SOE website. The credit card information is good, and the card expires in November of next year. The account is charged on the 10th of each month.</p> <p>I crashed zoning into my guild hall about an hour ago, and when I restarted the patcher and returned to the game through the character select screen, I found that two of my characters had the padlock on them. When I logged back in to my main character all my gear had been removed and placed into my inventory, two of my bags had been locked, and the game kept giving me red messages telling me I needed to buy some kind of unlocker to get my raid gear back onto my character. Apparently my account has been changed to "silver" level. I have logged into and out of the patcher several times, and each time I log back into the game I have extremely limited access to my characters.</p> <p>Can someone please explain to me what I need to do to resume playing this game at the level at which I am subscribed.</p> <p>Thank you.</p>

The more they try and fix it the worse it gets..</p><p>Quick Idea, instead of trying to sort everyone out why not just make all accts good for like 10 days or something.. I logged into my account this morning, on my main, and there was absolutely NO problem. I switched to a low-level alt to join a group, and suddenly my account was bronze! My main toon has been stripped of EVERYTHING but her food and drink! This is an SOE problem, created by SOE, but if they are true to form, they'll display a "blame the customer" attitude! I was looking forward to playing this weekend, but at this point, since my to major toons are high level with legendary and fabled armor, weapons, etc. I won't be able to play. To say this is making me very angry is putting it mildly!</p><p>I understand that releasing the expansion was very demanding because of the multitude of servers and the fact that EQ is worldwide. However, SOE should have made sure that payment information, and payments, weren't put into limbo, thus throwing accounts, specifically gold accounts, weren't thrown into a bronze status. That is not the way to acquire or keep customers!</p>

After all we loyal EQ2 players have gone through this year, this is an insult. I would like to play the game I pay for please. <p>Redrose, you were not billed for a membership. You must select a membership plan.
