EQ2 Share (Social Media thing) - not working?

<p>So, I updated my UI to see the tab for this, ticked the box to enable, as directed <a href="http://www.everquest2.com/share">http://www.everquest2.com/share</a> there, and nothing happens.</p><p>I don't get the box to log in or authorise it.  When I try to use the /share or /facebook command, I get a message saying I've not authorised it.</p><p>Help?</p>

<p>Doesn't work for me neither.</p><p>When I activate the checkbox it takes some seconds till the internal game browser opens with it's default page (none for me). According to <a href="http://www.everquest2.com/share" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.everquest2.com/share</a> a facebook login popup should be visible, but it's not.</p>

<p>It worked for me just fine last night.  Took me to a log in page, was able to authorize the app, and thankfully even tell it who could see it (you get public, friends, or you can choose a single list - but not multiple lists).  I was able to use the /facebook command to post something.</p><p>But I didn't see it post any achievements - maybe mine were not good enough <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I was on my baby beastie - I got the lvl 10, beginning quester, and biggest winner while playing.  </p><p>So, anyway - wanted to report that it's at least working somewhat for some people. (I'm using the latest Drums UI)</p>

<p>I got logged into it just fine as well.</p><p>Perhaps popup blocker?</p><p>What exactly gets udated? Is it just acheivements or do thins like dings get posted as well?</p>

<p>I set mine up yesterday and have gotten many achievements like dinging 10, 20, etc and none have been posted to my Twitter.</p>

<p>If you are having issues with the in-game browser send me a PM and I will try to take a look at what is going on.  Is the browser poping up for you guys?  Is it just blank?  Have you tried again since this morning?</p><p>For everyone else who did get this working you should be able to post screenshots now as well using the /social command.</p>

The checkboxes to enable it are on your character/persona window and that will popup a browser where you can login to your facebook/twitter account and authorize.</p>

<p>I had it working previously, but last night it would not work.</p><p>I did the /share and it brought up the window, but Twitter box was not checked.  And I couldn't check it - it said it was not set up for that character.  So I closed the window, went to my Persona and checked the box again.  </p><p>Typed the /share again - and again, Twitter was not checked.</p><p>Went back to the persona - Twitter wasn't checked.  Did some more back and forth checking and unchecking.. eventually I lost the Facebook checkmark as well.</p><p>Never could make it work.  I didn't try other characters as it was getting late.  I'll look at it again today.  </p><p>But up until last night it was working great.</p>

<p>My twitter seems to be broken.</p><p>It was working great a few days ago.  But now, the twitter box is unchecked.  When I do /twitter (update) it says I need to authorize the app in the persona window.  I go to the persona window and Twitter is unchecked - I check it - try again, says I need to authorize it.  Go back - twitter is unchecked.</p><p>I've also tried going to twitter and revoking access - and doing it all over again, but I don't get the option to authorize the app any more. </p><p>Authorization worked great the first time - but not any more.</p>

<p>I believe my patcher did patch last night (when all this started).  Tonight, I went in and did "validate" - which I think makes sure you have the latest files.</p><p>But still, the twitter part is broken.  </p><p>Is there any way to force it to re-authorize the Twitter app?  My twitter account doesn't show the EQ2 Share app is authorized (because I revoked it trying to fix this).  Checking the box in the character screen doesn't do anything - the check mark won't "stick" either - if I close the window and re-open, it's unchecked again.</p><p>I just *know* all 1 of my followers on Twitter is dying to know what JumJumm is wearing.... <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>I also am not getting anything when I check the Facebook box.  It also won't stay checked after I close the Persona window.</p><p>I don't get the pop up at all, tho I can use the in-game browser.  I use it all the time by clicking on the links to EQ2i and Zam from the quest journal.</p><p>When I /facebook or /share, I get that I'm not linked etc.</p><p>I have checked files and run the patcher.</p><p>Thank you in advance.</p>

<p>Some custom UIs seem to have incorrectly setup this part of the persona window unfortunately.  You can manually enable EQII share using the following commands:</p><p>/socialmedia twitter enable 1</p><p>/socialmedia facebook enable 1</p>
