I've been a normal subscriber since launch and am currently on the pay-one-every-three-months plan. I've had nine toons on Guk for quite sometime. All toons were available before purchasing the slot.

I bought 'unlock another character slot' via SC to create a new beastlord and everything seemed fine; however, after I returned to the game one of my existing nine character slots was locked because it said I had reached my limit.

Is this a temporary thing?

Yeah.. good luck with that. I do have an open support ticket with customer support and they are giving me the same answer. Because I had 11 character slots in EQ2 live that I had a paid subscription for and all of the characters were active and playable AND because I had a EQ2X subscription in which I had 10 characters all active and accessable that now because of the merge, I only get 7 character slots plus any I have purchased. Which is not what smokejumper said would happen.

Smokejumper
Senior Staff Joined: Jul 27, 2010Messages: 599Offline

Here's the executive summary:- You will be able to use all of your created characters after this conversion.- You will have access to all of the character slots you purchased after this conversion, even if those purchased slots are currently empty. In a nutshell, we're checking your created character counts, your purchased slots count, and then doing logic comparisons to ensure that you lose *nothing at all*.

Customer supports answer is either delete your characters or buy more slots... awesome answer Evidently Customer support didn't get the memo or SmokeJumper was blowing smoke.

I've got reports from gold sub guild members that all their characters were available yesterday but having deleted one to create a new character they are now seeing multiple locked characters on char select.

Won't panick just yet, but there is definitely something wrong, this isn't just a question of slot formulas or sub rates.
