This is a very frustrating issue for me. Last time I tried to play EQ2 I had the same problem and I ended up giving up. This time I decided to use Steam because I like the platform. Steam updates, and just like DC UNiverse (which plays fine) brings the launcher. Here is the problem: The launcher indicates that Everquest 2 is running but there's nothing on screen. It shows in the task manager however.

I installed the launcher from the SOE site and it downloaded a small patch. Still the same issue. All files are running under administration mode and I am beyond frustrated. Please, any help is greatly appreciated. Like I said, other SOE games play fine, except Everquest 2.

I am going to leave the program running to see if it needs more time to load or something. I am afraid my excitement for the new expansion will be killed by these issues.

I do recommend relocating it to the Users/Public folder and using our standalone LaunchPad 4.

I am trying this right now. It will take a while so I will go ahead and get my daughter ready to sleep. Will update back very soon. Thanks for the reply.

I moved the folder to local disc C:UsersPublicSony Online EnterteinmentInstalled GamesEverquest 2. The launcher and Everquest are running as admin and I still have the same problem. I should add that I have done multiple re-installs and this keeps happening.

Running the exe file will not bring up the game either. I visited the knowledge base and followed an explanation on the launcher (2 parts) and some issues but that did not helped either.

Any other idea?

Click the options button on your LaunchPad and give me the version info under your About LaunchPad option.

And tried the Soe Station Launcher Version: 1.1.13

Build: 1.1.13.1129360 - Release. Same thing happens.

When manually ending the Everquest2.exe process the launcher responds and the "PLAYING" turns to "Play"
