Similar to another person's previous problem, but different.

I bought the new expansion, AoD.

I installed it.

It selected the public user file where the game is located

I disabled my firewall

I have submitted the product key on the SOE website

I start the launcher and the new start window pops up, says 'Installing" but remains on 0 MB of 13,942 .. 0.0% and nothing else happens.

What am I doing wrong?

-oh, and now when i tried to manually double click the 'launchpad" in the files, it 'updated' and has a red window with 'SOE' that won't go away- can't quit it. Really, I'm baffled.

Click the tool icon and check the Updated File List.

What is it getting stuck on specifically? Copy and paste is fine.

I believe I installed the file properly from Amazon, but when I open the launch window it says it is installing, but appears not to be.

clicking the tool icon, it says this:

Checking game installation...Found 3,133 file(s) to update.Creating LegendsOfNorrath/effects.rccReplacing Uninstaller.exeCreating LegendsOfNorrath/cards.rcc

the hour was just to get it to start

almost at 11% progress now. transfers are usually fast here, have a faster than DSL connection
