I've been subbed to EQ2 before, and I THOUGHT the conversion to free-to-play was supposed to go smoothly. I just now started up EQ2, and after doing that scanning and replicating thing, it opened up this new gheylooking launcher. I mean if minimalist is your thing, cool, but I happen to hate it. Mostly I couldn't care less though, because normally I figure I'll only have to look at it's ugliness for a min before I can play the game. Except... I've just spent 10 minutes tring to find the 'play' button. I see two games that try to install themselves when I click em, but Everquest 2 listed anywhere. Used to be I could launch the game directly by clicking it and that worked just fine (and was easier on my eyes). What's wrong SOE, ever hear of the phrase, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it"?

Besides it wouldn't hurt if nothing else.

I installed in my EQ2 directory, and restart, and the launcher is no longer that hideous blue stopwatch-looking thing, however it's not downloading/updating nor is there a 'play' button.

Edit: Does it matter that my EQ2 install is not on C Drive? Currently have it partitioned and using D drive for all games.

I managed to get game to run and update yesterday. every time i turned PC off i had to run through the install when i started pc up again.

Thought i would try the install link above, i know what location game is in. Its now showing updating over 2000 files and shows i need 13,125 mb. I checked open game directory and its correct.

I hope it just updates a few files and then zooms through rest. Im on a very slow net and so far only installed 24mb which is 0.2% lol.

At min creating music/combat files. hope these are new since yesterday.
