View Full Version : LP4 shutting itself down, after restarting kicks me from game when zoning

LP4 seems to be shutting itself down on it's own randomly, game still runs ok, but when I notice that LP4 is down and restart it, then go back to game window and attempt to zone, I'm immediately kicked from the game and get an error message stating: "Login rejected: Invalid username or password. Please try again."

Game seems to run ok if I leave LP4 shut down, and I'm not sure what is actually causing LP4 to close on it's own, but restarting the launchpad seems to be disrupting the login server connection in some way which is screwing up zoning. Sure, I could leave LP4 down and possibly continue playing uninterrupted, but if I decided to log in another account with the multi-boxing feature, getting kicked when zoning would really start to get annoying.

I downloaded the full install version of LP4, but as noted in another thread, in game I do have the streaming dragon showing up, and my .ini file is correct as per that thread. Not sure if this issue is related in any way to that problem, but hopefully it's a simple fix?

*Edit: LP4 just shut itself down again after running for approximately 1 hour.

We will be changing that to just a few seconds when we have a fix for the exact problem you are describing. Unless you are launching multiple clients you dont need to reopen the launchpad while you are playing. In the meanwhile, if you do, you can switch accounts after launching from the menu in the upper right or also log out and log back in without saving your password.

We will have a fix for this in the next couple weeks.

Ah, ok. So, if I'm reading that correctly, until the fix is figured out, we will need to log in both accounts before shutting down LP4 to avoid the login rejected message? (I haven't tried running multiple accounts yet since only 1 is active currently).

I did also have a very noticeable lag spike when LP4 shut itself down again a few minutes ago, was in the middle of crafting and missed a round or so due to the spike, but fortunately didn't mess up the combine. I'm guessing that will be resolved when the launch pad shuts down after login, but thought I'd mention it in case it helps any. Hopefully this issue isn't tough to fix. Thanks for the response!
