I've been back to EQ2 (left last year, same computer) for a month, and I can't explain why I've been having poorer performance than before. Even with graphical option on full performance, I Barely cross 25 FPS, and that goes lower as soon as I move or fight. On balanced, I nearly never go past 20 FPS, with drops to 7-10 during a fight. Few things to take a look at.Power options.Click Start > Control Panel > Power Options > Make sure a High performance plan is selected. You can even click Change Plan Settings to ensure that PCI Express Link State Power Management is turned off. Click the change advanced power settings button to get there. Make sure DX9 is up to date. Please download and run the file linked in the article below. This is a self-extracting executable file that will prompt you to select a folder for extraction. Create a folder on your desktop and direct it to that folder. Once complete, open that folder and run the DXSETUP file to start the actual update itself.<a href="http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8109" target="_blank">[DX9] June 2010</a>And finally, make sure the Windows Experience Index has been run. Click Start > Right-click Computer > Click Properties > Click Windows Experience Index link on the right pane, then click Run the Assessment.

A bit better, but not that much. I may have gained 4-5 fps in Freeport, it's okish (around 20-25) in Bonemire and it stays around 10 fps in Kylong, these are the zones i'm in right now.It starts strong (50-60, even at balanced) but quickly (after maybe 30 sec/1 min) begin to crash to it's level. And it stays quite low even with full performance.

And it stays quite low even with full performance.</blockquote>Are you using CPU or GPU shadows? The CPU shadows are FPS killers, use GPU shadows. Also, uncheck Point Light Shadows (CPU). You might need to hit the advanced button from the options window to see these.

I really dislike making this kind of suggestion but would you mind visiting Nvidia.com to download a previous driver version? Anything prior to the october releases should do. Just for the sake of testing here.
