In the last day, EQ2 has started to have a new bug for both me and a friend of mine. Our clients have been poofing. Just gone. No crash report, no freeze, no nothing; just poof. There is no error report in the Windows Event Viewer for either of us. This happened Prior to me downloading the new launcher (which I did Thursday, I've been starting EQ2 from everquest2.exe to bypass the launcher for a while now) and still happened post new launcher. But this is new as of this week. What do you need for me to help you help me?

Same problem here.

After using the new launcher i have this. Never did before.

I am running 2 accounts on Windows 7 64 bit on a multicore system ( i7), in 2 directories with separate launcher applications in them.

After launching i close the launcher since i dont stream.

This only happens if i want to play both accounts.

In addion - even that i installed in each directory its own launcher - those seem to be interacting because i have the login data from acc 1 in the acc 2 directory after i logged in acc1 and want to login acc 2.

Since i pay for 2 accounts, i want to play both.

If this is no longer possible let me know and i will think about the next steps for me.

The last few months this bug has been happening to me as well, I will say that it is not horribly common, but happen every couple days or so, but I play quite a bit.

Our new LP4 saves launchpad.cache data in a separate and universal area. Multiple installations will absolutely overwrite this cache as you zone, log in, and whenever it needs to pass on and save your credentials. This overwriting will cause disconnects, crashes, invalid username/password errors while zoning, etc.

You should only have 1 installation, 1 launchpad, and use the built in functionality for multi-boxing. Tab back to the LP once you have logged in your first character, click logout > switch accounts, log in to your 2nd account and click PLAY to begin multiboxing. This can be repeated as many times as you need and im sure you noticed our LP doesnt close when the game starts anymore.
