I have installed Launcher LP3 in a separate directory so it won't contaminate my game. HOWEVER, LP4 will NOT install over the top of it.

Can I still keep the Launcher in a Separate directory from the Game when I am forced to use LP4?

Why won't LP4 auto install?

Thanks.

I'm not quite sure I understand.

First things first I would suggest making sure you are starting our LaunchPad as an admin by right-clicking the icon and selecting run as admin.

Do any errors pop up?

I have it installed in a separate directory from the game. I don't want it in the EQ2 directory.

This version of the launcher runs fine but it will not go out and get LP4 Launcher.

I wan't to know WHY it won't automatically update?

There are no error message and the 1.1.12 version of the launcher runs fine.

Can I keep LP4 in a Separate directory from the game?
Ah...1.1.12 is Station Launcher, not LP3.

Station Launcher will not auto update to LP4 at this time, but by Tuesday it SHOULD be patching down LP4 into your game directory where you have EQ2 installed and will launch LP4 from the game panel in Station Launcher.

If you want you can download it early from http://launch.soe.com/installer/EQ2_setup.exe but you will have to manually pick the location where you want it to go and install on top of your EQ2 install. It patches to the directory you install to so if you pick an alternate location it will end up patching down an entirely new copy of the game.
