I just got a second widescreen 24"

I find that my mouse gets locked into the game screen if I go into full screen on the game and can not cross over into the other screen.

Tips?

What is the point of non-windowed mode if I can't do anything on the other screen?

I looked on the Widescreen Gaming Forum and saw that according to them EQ II doesn't support spanning the game across multiple monitors. Is this true?

Alt+enter I believe should be the answer you're looking for. I unfortunealy am not 100% sure anymore though. I haven't played in full screen in 3 years.

I have a black 24" monitor, which has nothing in the backround and the taskbar got sticked to the other monitor. This made eq2 almost fullscreen, while it is windowed. Works just fine that way.

This has been asked many times, it can't be done and it has nothing to do with EQ2 it is a limitation in windows.

There are utilities that will allow you to change the size of the title bars so you can squeeze a few more pixels out but dragging the task bar to your secondary monitor is the easiest solution.

It does seem to sort of tilt objects slightly when I stretch in windowed mode across the screens so it doesn't get an "A" for displaying correctly.

BTW I am using Windows 7 64bit.

I wish I could get rid of this title bar like other games' windowed mode and be able to move it up. W7 just will not allow moving the screen up.

The 'problem' you are having moving the window up is a feature of windows 7 'aero-snap' it can be easily disabled.

Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Make mouse easier to use. Then remove check box from the option about windows auto arranging... (the last checkbox in the window)

I am split in half.

Anyone know of an ini edit hack or something, FOV?, you can fix the slightly distorted image given when stretching across? Everything seems to lean ever so slightly outward. The FOV seems distorted too now that I look at it and run around. Being able to move the camera farther back from the character might help. It seems sort of fish-eye.

I also don't understand the previous comment about moving the taskbar. The game launches in one window regardless and then I have to stretch it across.

Are you saying that you want to run it in windowed mode spanned across BOTH monitors?

If that is the case then you will have to right click the task bar, select properties and check the Auto-Hide the task bar option.

Actually reading the last line of your OP I see that is the case and no EQ does not support this AFAIK.

We don't directly support the use but by all means if anyone has a method to share feel free.

Yes I want to run across BOTH monitors (maybe in the future have 3 to actually have driver support under Nvidia's surround function with 3). I wish the game would open in 3840 x 1080. I tried setting in the recent.ini but it never stays as I put it! Very annoying.

I also want to be able to shift the camera off center so I am not being blocked by the bezel of the monitors.

If that is not supported please send this on over to the graphics devs!

Most modern games these days support playing across multiple monitors.

Whether other games do it or not isn't really part of the formula. Our development teams are aware of the functionality and we cannot offer you support for that resolution.
