Couldn't decide whether to post this in the performance support or the general tech support, however I will soon be upgrading from my piece of trash 6yr old dell inspiron 9300 to this

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Compaq+...d=1218343209613

(yes, suprisingly that is considered an UPGRADE for me lol) My question is, will it be able to handle the game and is that graphics card supported by everquest (both 1 and 2) ? I tried google and a little forum surfing and did not find a direct answer. I am used to playing games on the bare minimum of the settings due to having such a horrible laptop for so long, however i want to know if this upgrade will improve on 3 things: 1) Ability to play the game without getting the crash due to memory error (which I assume is a RAM issue); 2) Ability to play the game with minimal computer lag, including both solo and groups as well as heavily populated areas (these tend to always result in an instant disconnection for me) and 3) allow me to finally take my graphics even one notch up from the bare minimum.

Any feedback would be much appreciated please. Also in the mean time(i wont be able to get this computer for a month or so) would just adding more RAM to my laptop (to equal a total of 2gb ram) atleast make EQ2 playable until I can finally upgrade my computer?

Thank you for anyone who reads and answers, i bolded the questions to make them stand out from all the other crap.

Low cpu speed and very limited memory with a rather old gpu. I will be shocked if it runs the game at all. I would save up the cash and get something a little more newer. I know not everyone can afford a gaming beast. This game lags with the best computer sometimes though. This game is a memory monster.
