You will be asked by TSR to include your dxdiag first three sections. Using internet searching that looks like a network issue / DB issue. You should include more information: Are you playing the game with nothing else running in the background and it just disappears and closes to the desktop? Try disabling the in-game voice chat (internet search is your friend: found a reference right here in the EQ II forums on CleanupDeadConnections).

I turned the voice chat off and that fixed it. Very strange but thank you for the small tip.

I've seen similar issues in the past.

Okay wow, my brain forgot about this post, lol. I have a Netgear router. Not sure what model - I looked for one but couldn't find it. It's about 3 years old though.

I'd love to be able to join VC in the game, so any input would be awesome.

Go to the Netgear website and check for firmware and codex updates for your router. 9 times out of 10 one of these are the problem.

If its the CDG24G, we do not have a solution for using these routers at this time.

@Loxosceles: Thank you - I will check that out.

@ TSR-JoshuaM: When we played about 1.5 years ago, I didn't have a VC issue. Hopefully Loxos suggestion will help?

I will post updates after tonight.

Thanks guys!

I haven't looked in to any recently released firmware for that particular model, CDG24G. Is that the model you are using?

Yeah, looks like it. Will check it out when I get home. Thinking I just download it onto my own computer?
