I like to watch my tv shows in VLC or WMP over top of the the game while not busy.

Some time ago I had an issue with Eve Online in windowed mode (possibly before they had a "fixed window" option) where the mouse pointer would rubber band to the top left corner. Eventually something was fixed and I can watch just fine.

Now with EQ II where I had no issue this has reversed. When I enter windowed mode/alt tab and try to move my mouse across the screen while both EQ II and the player are on screen, it does the rubber-banding.

This cuts into my entertainment time productivity!

I used to do that too, but later i found out (doesnt cost to much), plugin in a smaler monitor to watch vids or and ACT will be far more usefull.

Sorry, but, give it a try (19-24" Monitors are normaly pretty cheap).

Regards

Zergosch

Would you mind posting your DXDIAG information for me? Top 3 sections only, system/display/sound devices. Should fit in a single response.

btw the video card will be changing within a week but that shouldn't have anything to do with it as I have been using this for a few years.

Zergosch wrote:

I used to do that too, but later i found out (doesnt cost to much), plugin in a smaler monitor to watch vids or and ACT will be far more usefull.

Sorry, but, give it a try (19-24" Monitors are normaly pretty cheap).

Regards

Zergosch

Price is relative. You may make 40k+ a year. I don't.

I guess no one else has weird issues in windowed mode... It isn't just trying to play over the game, but when I am in windowed mode I can't even keep the same resolution. The UI elements overlap. The eq2_recent.ini keeps defaulting to cl_screenwidth_windowed 1376 cl_screenheight_windowed 774 when I keep changing the numbers to my desktop resolution. When in windowed mode I can't reliably move my character with just the left and right mouse buttons pressed (lazy man's travel as I sit back) as I get snapped 90 degrees to the right which can be dangerous in some places, outright annoying otherwise. This only happens in windowed mode.
