Not sure if i'm in the right forum for this, but please don't beat me up if i'm not!!! I downloaded the game to my new computer and every single time that I hit the play button, it crashes right back to the desktop. I have windows 7 and I have done every single thing there was to be done from reading on the forums pages. I've been having this problem since Friday of last week and still nothing new. I've disabled my firewall and the antivirus stuff, I've updated my video card, adobe, windows explorer. I've moved the file, renamed the file, i uninstalled and restalled. Also I can't get it to work on my old desktop that runs vista windows, so not sure what the problem is. I've even installed the launcher and tried to go in another way and still get thrown back to the desktop. I'm getting frustrated, I have played Eq2 for many years and took a break then come back and this is what happens, i feel like i'm doing something wrong...I know that it is going to be the littlest of things to correct and that is what is frustrating. If anyone could please help me with this problem I'd be so thankful

Please download and install our latest LaunchPad for Everquest II. It appears you are using our original patcher which may present issues at times or with certain configurations. I recommend the full download version linked below. You can even direct it to use your existing EQII game folder so only the updates occur and not re-downloading any files you already have.

[EQII] LaunchPad

yup I have already downloaded this, I thought that it would help, it comes up but then crashes right back to desktop, but acts as though something is trying to come up! When I go into task manager, it doesn't show but it does show something under processes

Please post your DXDIAG information for me. Top 3 sections, system/display/sound devices. It should fit in a single response.
