Neither the station launcher or the launchpad are working for me (and at least a few other people). Is this intended? I had to hunt down the everquest2.exe file to get into the game.Is there another launcher that I don't know about that I should look into getting?

i tried to start program from the EQ2.exe file as someone suggested. here's the error:

Options Error

The options definition file failed to load. This generally indicates that your patch was corrupted for some reason. Try a complete scan, and if that doesn't help you thenyou may need to reinstall.

Abort Retry Ignore

Clicked Ignore. Same message.

Clicked Retry. Msg that the EQ2 Client Application has stopped working. Only choice is to close program.

I tried a full scan before posting and that failed to complete as well. As mentioned in the other thread, the freeport launcher is fine but I don't want to play on freeport.

Run the game directly (if you patched on Friday) instead of through the launcher. Navigate to the EverQuest II install folder and open "EverQuest2.exe". Skipping the patcher works as it's broken for me too.

I have been playing for a while today and took a break and went out. i come back an hour later and can not log in because of some stupid patch for the launcher not working correctly. Anyone know how to fix this? Seriously SOE do you still not test anything before sticking us with it and why do you do this stuff after hours so we can not call....oh wait nvm.

Let's keep this to one thread. There is one in Connection Support:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=507643
