I downloaded the latest Launchpad after some hesitation and was pleasantly surprised at the launchpad itself.

It's not perfect (for example we cant log straight into the game via a character - have to go to character screen first) but it has good potential and looks good - the downloads *seem* faster than the old exe eq2 one, not sure.

Nevertheless, we need latest ---patch notes--- on the Launchpad - like the old days - I mean what use is a Launchpad if you download a patch and have to go elsewhere to find out what the notes are - patch notes should not be negotiable, they should be part of any launchpad.

new launchpad is coming soon, you are using stream loader, aka LP3, it is handy to get in game while it is loading as you go until it all done loaded.

yes, since hacker attacked last spring just gave them lot of thinking to restructering a new Launcher which i had told them over a year ago, i wasnt taken seriously, but thanks to hackers make them go working on new and improved "secured" launcher that we all need and feel protected.

i am using 2 launchers, standard LP3 for personal or alts, but using Drum UI for raidings, because i am too slow and really love thier Drum's eq2 map format. SOE's version make you get lost and cant find a way in sewers or dungeons without maps, no fun or time saving. make me wonder why still no map once i already explored whole zone and every corners. it seem lazy to me.

Tyrus, I am not familiar with Drum EQ2 map but the regular EQ2 Map autoupdater (which can download files and then automatically switch to your regular launchpad) is very good. Can be found here:

http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...onOfficial.html

As for the L3 patcher now it seems solid but I would add:

1. Patch notes.

2. Option to choose character (and sidestep character screen)

Otherwise it seems quite solid.
