Some servers are being excluded due to lack of man hours to be able to run all of those events. The good news is that the portals for the Community Lounge will be placed on ALL servers, so you can still get the Oktoberfest items and have a party on your own server. The only difference is, you won't necessarily have someone from the Community Team there to host it.

I'm sat on the docks of Sinking SAnds, on Splitpaw server and I'm a bit confused. AS I understand between 6pm and 8pm a portal will open to allow us to join the Oktoberfest thing (can't wait, never been there bfore). But I'm a bit baffled where exactly is the portal and what will it look like, as I cannot see anything that takes me to a community lounge.

Are you guys going to do anything that's actually fun with the Oktoberfest thing or is it just going to be a zone where you go in, buy some hats, fish up a firework then leave?

Very boring as it stands atm

Oh... yeah... forgot. You can buy "temporary" dressup items also. Yay. Seriously, though. Is there a point to the zone other than the hats and fireworks? No insult intended or anything. It's just a very very VERY boring instance.

Whats the purpose of the Kerra pickles, Arasai pickles..etc. Thought maybe they granted a 30 minute race illusion which would be neat...but I equip one and try and consume it...can't do it. A whole merchant full of pickles that can't be consumed. Gotta love the quality control with this game!

Really? Everyone who had a great time actually found enough content in that zone to keep them entertained? The time put into the marketing was greater than the effort put into the zone and the available items. If we keep encouraging Sony when they make a huge deal over something and then fall flat on their face at the point of delivery, we will NEVER get any quality back in the game.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but they keep promising all these wonderful things, but the delivered product is a disaster or not even worth the effort of being involved.

If you encourage mediocrity, that's all you will ever get!

I believe these Community Parties should be handled kind of like holidays: some familiar stuff from the last time 'round, and something new that can be taken away from it. During Frostfell, you have icy snowballs that you can't keep -- but there's outfits you can purchase (or in that case, craft) which aren't temporary and/or no-zone. I don't care if they're heirloom -- the idea isn't to make silly amounts of plat from other players that couldn't make it. But for crying out loud, how hard would it have been to add at least a couple new cloaks/hats/other accessories to the vendor?

And NO handout of any kind from the SOE host? None?

Completely agree with the complaints about the ONE harvest node in the pool being exclusive-use. Something needs to be done to fix that so we don't have 3 dozen folks vying for a turn -- that really makes for a frustrating party for some. Add nodes, or make everyone able to harvest it at once -- or just remove it so everyone can enjoy the rest of the party. (Edit: make those coffee cups HEIRLOOM and you'll reduce the incentive of one person to farm dozens of cups...)

Yes, we WERE able to take some coldain drinks with us (as many as we cared to grab at 1 drink per grab) - but at 5 minutes a charge, that just feels like an awful letdown for being the ONLY new thing we were able to take with us.

Don't get me wrong - the Community lounge with its fireworks & books/pillows you can throw around are great fun while you're there -- it's a fun setup! Many of us though really like to have some new souvenir we can show off after the fact though.

I enjoyed going to the Oktoberfest, thank you for the setting.

My only complaint was getting a cute little black outfit for my Freeblood, logging out to do something on another toon and logging back to the Freeblood and the outfit was gone! I guess I thought the outfit would last a few days at least! I got a big sad over that lol

Did anyone on any server ever figure out the whole tip the bartender and get a trinket thing?

It was just a bunch of buyable drinks and pickels that I'm assuming could be used in a recipe (since they had an asterick next to the name) but never saw any buyable recipes either. There weren't any clickable items around the bartenders and they didn't say anything either.

Also, what was with the keeper of secrets guy? He never said anything except for that he was the keeper of secrets.

The bard / fashion adviser never said anything about fashion either, just told a story.

I agree with the others, if you're going to go out and advertise some special event at least make it special. A hat, an ugly cloak and a generic coffee cup were the only things you could take with you? Btw, what do those hats and the cloak have to do with Oktoberfest anyways? The hats have a faether, sure, but they're not any different from a dozen other hats in the game and looked neither German or Oktoberfest-ish. Same thing goes for the rental clothes.

There should've been leather-hosen, German looking dresses, things with steins on them and maybe even a hat that makes you look like you have braids or something.

Some special house items or recipes for house items would've been cool as well. A plate of sausages, big loaves of bread, plates of pretzels etc.
