The toggling off of "over-time" spells by a second cast needs to be configurable.

Some "over time" spells cancel themselves early if you "cast" them a second time before they expire, some do not. The spell exam window does not list this behavior for an "over time" spell.

The situation is: spells that do cancel themselves early if you "cast" them a second time before they expire don't work right in _some_ kinds of macros.

I could definitely see, in some cases, how this behavior could be desireable. However, the player has little control over this behavior now, or no control depending on one's point-of-view.

There needs to be some way, perhaps on a spell-by-spell basis, or at least a global configuration setting, to disable that toggle off if recast early behavior.

The alternative way to cancel a spell early is to right click the spell in a maintined window (assuming you can find it ... and assuming it is there at all ...) and select cancel. So, even if no spells toggled off when recast early, it would still be able to cancel a spell early using the right click method.

-Leucippus
