**NOTE: Please post feedback/bugs in this thread: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=507137**

Hi, folks,

Dungeon Finder continues to be tested on the Test server. We very much appreciate your help in finding issues and making suggestions for this system. Thanks!

Below are a list of details about this system, especially details on using it on Test. After those details is a list of currently-known issues to consider.

Thanks again for your help!

DUNGEON FINDER

Dungeon Finder is a matchmaking system to make it easier for groups to get together for dungeons. This requires a certain minimum population to be effective. Since the Test server population is relatively small compared to regular Live servers, you may experience longer queue times at certain level ranges (depending on who is playing at that time). Howver, the system only requires a minimum of six players of the required archetypical group roles in order to make a match, so it won't take many players at all to make the system work. Hopefully, the Test population is robust enough for this.

To use the Dungeon Finder, click the "Dungeon Finder" button on your XP bar. (Or open the "Zones" menu by using CTRL+Z and clicking the "Dungeon Finder" tab.) (Alternatively, you can also use /df or /dungeonfinder.)

You can queue solo or as a group (only your group leader can queue a group) for any dungeons you qualify, based on level, critical mitigation requirements and if you have the required expansion activated.

You can either queue for a Random Dungeon (ang get a +25% XP bonus while playing that dungeon) or you can queue for specific dungeons by only clicking the checkboxes next to their names. (NOTE: You don't get the +25% XP bonus if you queue for specific dungeons.)

If you leave the dungeon, and your group stays within it, you can use the "Return" button (on the DF interface) to zone back to your group without travel time.

If you group isn't full, the group leader can use the "Reinforce" button to allow more players, currently queued in the Dungeon Finder (and who qualify), to join the group.

If your group finishes a Dungeon Finder dungeon, you can exit and your group leader can queue for another dungeon immediately. This should result in almost no wait time for the next dungeon as long as you have a full group. (If you don't have a full group, just hit that Reinforce button.)

NOTE: The zones available when you open the Dungeon Finder interface are based on your character's actual level, not your currently mentored level, if you are mentored. Mentored levels have no effect on DF matchmaking.

Also, please note that lockouts on dungeons are bypassed by DF, except for any Velious content with lockouts. Thus, if you enter a dungeon (in SF for example) that normally has a lockout, you will not get a lockout when doing that dungeon via DF. (If you already *had* a lockout, that lockout will still exist outside of DF, but won't block you while using the system.)

KNOWN ISSUES (updated 9/30/2011):

All known issues are resolved. These fixes are being updated onto Test later this afternoon (9/30) and you can try them out over the weekend and let us know if you find issues!

EX-KNOWN ISSUES (Previous issues now fixed, or fixed in the next update we make to Test):

Need a fix for DF to allow it to be used on PvP servers so factions can be separated. (High)DF groups don't permit VOIP. (High)

Some dungeons are too high/low for the level range. (High)

Had a report that when you queue as a small group, enter a DF group and then everyone else quits except the original small group, that the small group isn't treated as a DF group any longer. (Immediate, but can't reproduce internally yet.) (Resolution: Can't reproduce. Moving this off the issues list until we can dupe the problem internally or we get more data on it.)

Some instances are showing two average wait times. (Medium) (Can't reproduce)

Three duos that group together via DF may result in no tank or healer. (High...needs improved matchmaking logic when matching groups.)

Players report getting invites to groups for dungeons that they are not queued for. (High)

Players that queue for individual dungeons are being picked over those that are queued for Random Dungeon. (Immediate - Fix is found but implementation is in process.)

Reinforcements should warp to the group leader immediately (instead of going to the dungeon door as they do now). (Medium) (We figured out a solution for this and are implementing it now...but it won't be on Test for a few days still.)

After using the DF system, leaving the Cauldron Hallow instance is teleporting people back to where they started instead of leaving them at the front door. (Immediate)

Dungeon list checkbox hit area is offset.

Reinforce option does not appear to function. (Much more reliable now in Tuesday's update.)

Had a report that groups queueing for specific dungeons would be selected over other groups that were queued for Random. Fixed in Tuesday's update.

It was possible for DF to swap your group out from under you. Fixed.

Group can get stuck in a reinforce state.

You got stuck in a state where your were told "You are not a member of this group" while trying to summon Reinforcements as a leader.

It was possible to join a DF match but not be actually put into the group.

The "Reinforce" button is now a toggle so it doesn't feel necessary to spam the button.

After disbanding from a DF group, players would still linger in the matchmaker, becoming unable to use DF again thereafter.

Spam-clicking the Random Dungeon checkbox used to minimize/expand the dungeon tree.
