This morning I purchased a character transfer token and called technical support at the number listed on the Character Transfer Service page. I answered all the questions confirming my identity and that both accounts were, in fact, mine. The conversation got to the 'which server?' part and when I answered Test was informed character transfers are not allowed on Test.

The oldest toon on my account on Test has a creation date of November 16, 2004. I have 4 active accounts and play exclusively on Test. I list these facts as an example of my dedication to the game, the server and the time and expense I have invested over the years.

Am I to assume the days of a 'donation' to a SoE employee's PayPal account are not gone?

It was painfully obvious that the tech support person COULD have done the transfer but, based on policy, could not. As such, I am requesting a review of that policy and an explanation of why character transfers on Test are not allowed.

I had contacted support regarding this when I had 2 accounts. I was informed I could not transfer. It seems once the word 'Test' is uttered, tech support hears nothing else. I tried to explain that I didnt want to transfer 'to test' or 'off test' I just wanted to move a character currently on test, to another account, currently on test.

It was beyond tech supports comprehension.

I finally gave away everything on the 2nd account and deleted the 2 toons I had on it. If they didnt want my money, well you can insert whatever you'd like for the 4-letter word 'test' <here>.

You should be able to transfer between accounts although it has to be a done a bit differently than on live servers. I would suggest contacting CS again and see if they can help you out. If you still have issues let us know.

Thanks Gninja. I called them - they came here, read your response and proceeded with the account information verify and transfer information and then manually charged my account rather than the token route. Should be done PDQ.

27 seconds well spent.

Edit because I just thought of it: Now, about that hour of SC consumables access...

Expecially since a SOE employee who did not have to help took his time out to help you even after that poor comment.
