View Full Version : Payed for the game / Wont even log in / download / please help :(

<p>I downloaded both the normal client download and the streaming client</p><p>Non of them seemed to actually stream in anyway. They just started to download the 12.5 gigs of game, why didnt the streamer client actually stream</p><p>This way yesterday, today i cannot even log in it says ... Unable to contact login server, please try again later.</p><p>I have tried both versions normal and stream, only the streamer client allows me to even get to the log in area the normal version of the client ( and doing it without the launcher ) sticks on the SOE logo.</p><p>What is going on?</p><p>Is this an ongoing issue?</p><p>Any help is appreciated ...</p>

<p>There is an issue with the Streaming LaunchPad actually streaming at the moment.  We are going to push out a fix for that as soon as possible.</p><p>In the meantime, there is a posted workaround that I'll repeat here for anyone else new to the issue.</p><p>In your EQII game folder are two files, LaunchPad.ini and LaunchPad-user.ini.  Assuming you are the US Servers.  If not let me know.  Edit these files to show the following.  Once the changes are made, restart your LaunchPad and it should be back to streaming. </p><p>LaunchPad.ini</p><p>[Settings]</p><p>webapp=http://launchpad.patch.station.sony.com/lp3/index.html</p><p>digestURL=http://manifest.patch.station.sony.com/patch/manifest/launchpad/launchpad-all/lp3-eq2-ext.soe</p><p>skin=LaunchPad.png</p><p>appSize=664,630</p><p>appOffset=52,30</p><p>appSkin=eq2</p><p>appName=EverQuest II</p><p>appIcon=EQII.ico</p><p>curtainColor=#000000</p><p>game=eq2</p><p>LaunchPad-user.ini</p> <p>[Settings]</p> <p>locale=en_US</p> <p>game=eq2.na</p><div></div>

<p>I dont have either of these files on my computer</p><p>i havent actually downloaded the game itself i was wanting to via the streamer client but i cant log in and i cant find those files</p>

<p>If you are receiving this error, "<span style="color: #cae0e6; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; background-color: #07161e;"> Unable to contact login server, please try again later." give the steps below a shot.</span></p><p>Please click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Scroll through the settings to the security section > Uncheck the box that reads "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" > Click Apply/OK. Restart the streaming LaunchPad and try to log back in.</p>
