<p>Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here goes :</p><p>I am playing a Necromancer and i have made a macro so that when i start casting my pet charges in to start smacking my target, thing what i want to know is it possible to change the icon to the actualy spell icon rather then the EQII icon or the others available in the standard list? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>Yes, and two ways to do that.</p><p>The first way is when first creating the macro. Instead of going to the macro menu to create it, just rightclick on the spell in your hotbar and select "create macro".</p><p>The second way is to simply drag the spell over the icon in the menu where you create a macro.</p>

<p>Yes, it's possible to use the spell icon, and it's simple to do so.  Place the spell on your hot bar, then right-click the spell's icon on the bar and select "create macro".  Construct the macro as you wish, and then your new macro will use your spell's icon.</p><p>edit -- I see that others have already replied, but my browser didn't show follow-up posts until after I posted.</p>

<p>Incidentally, you can use pretty much any icon for a macro, items, abilities, whatever. Just drag the icon onto the picture in the top-right-hand corner of the macro creation window and it will use that icon for the macro. In this way you can use basically any item icon or spell icon you have access to, including stuff like harvesting or tradeskill abilities.</p>
