View Full Version : Plane of War scout itemization - where's the multiattack?!

I spent the last few minutes checking out the links to various pieces of gear from plane of war (both easy and hard versions), and to my complete dismay, none of the pieces raise multiattack to any degree (aside from the pants and bp which offer a very minor amount compared to those from drunder and launch instances). 6 months from now, scouts are looking at a loss of approximately 500% multiattack after transitioning to the PoW raid gear. Please tell me that the itemization from this zone isn't final, otherwise scouts will be benched in favor of mage dps in the near future. Afterall, wizards benefit more from raw potency than scouts.

Good thing Reforging is coming!

Reforging should never be the answer to poorly designed itemization. But the lack of MA is a major problem.

They also forgot to put yellow/red adornment slots on the weapons even though the items are supposed to be on EM raid level.

I'm pretty sure the built-in procs are the reason red slots are not on items such as the weapons.

Looks like they are trying to itemize away from MA, which is a good thing because MA is a stupid mechanic with that many attacks that causes processing issues. 1 auto attack round processing 12 attacks cannot be good for things. So its about figuring out how much CB = MA. Think it is something like 3% CB equals 7% MA on a parse.

But itemizing out of it to that extent? If this gear is anything resembling complete, that represents a MASSIVE nerf to melee dps.

The gear is not finished yet.

Plane of War gear is being handmade by Kander and I'm fairly sure:

1) It's not done yet.

B) They want to move away from MA by itemizing more DPS mod while also lowering the DPS mod curve. So instead of hitting 5x you would hit 5x as hard. Its a lot easier on the servers.

Kold its pretty ridiculous that you look at links on EQ2Zam, which hardly ever go live like they show up on ZAM and then completely freak out. You do it all the time.

I sure hope more thought is being put into it, then what I seen so far, cause theres many issues so far...

1. no red adorns, no yellow adorns.

2. armor has no focus.

3. weapons and jewelry all tend to have the same procs, there being about 2-4 different procs I seen so far.... I dont want to end up with 5 items with the exact same proc cause there theres no variety there to begin with.

4. double attack, and DPS mod, and such are nearly gone from this gear so far.

(if thats the plan, why bother ever uncapping stats, when you just nearly remove them from raid gear entirely?)

What part of "Kander is making all of the items by hand and they're not done yet" do you not understand?

That item database at ZAM is one of the worst things ever - people totally overreact to items that do not even exist.

Lol, relax man. Theres nothing wrong with looking up and critizing items before hand. Its called input, and it should be encouraged.

Edited to add: I think switching from MA to harder autos will be a good thing in the long run.

There are foci, but they're the same foci as the earlier gear, which include a ton of useless foci. I cannot believe they are so lazy as to put that on DoV gear, nevermind PoW gear...

Feedback is always relevant, even if they're "set in stone" on going in a different direction, or the same direction. Knowing what your playerbase thinks, desires, and even what players are "misinformed on" has worth. Its makes for better managment and its not even worth arguing, move on.

They need to add more weapon skill and even more dps mod then to make up for dumping MA, but yea less hits but harder hits hmmmmm where have I heard that before. Oh yea thats right all the frigign players have been telling them that for 9 months.
