I didn't realize this was not everyone but I seem to have a problem (although not sure how new). When I have particle effect items on (harvester cloaks, blighted armor) whatever effect there is shows in 1st person. I accepted it with the blighted armor (and cust service was kind enough to give a refund) but I can't take it with the harvester cloak and would like to know what I can do to fix it. I have turned my effects all the way off (something I dispise doing!) but the effects were still there. Is this an everyone problem or localized to my drivers maybe? Any help would be appreicated.

I have this same issue too, would love to lessen the camera distance so I dont see it in 1st person too.

Void Blighted Armor (the one with the purple and lightning), is super annoying in 1st person.

Just got my flight form for my Asari and there is no way to turn it off even via particle effects... so flying now in first person all I see is bright light. Does anyone work here in the support department?

Go into Options, Display, PArticle Effects and lower the setting for Particle Level of Detail (Near). That will fix the problem you have, sadly it will also mean that particle based lights, flames etc will go out if you get too close to them.

I'll report it up as a bug and we'll see what changes can be made. I'm not part of that process directly so I'll provide updates from the dev team if and when I receive them.

I don't believe this has always been a problem. I never remember seeing things in first person until somewhat recently. I disable the effects (although doesn't solve it 100%) when adventuring but when decorating you have to have it enabled to see lights and effects sadly.
