cant log in to certain characters

<p>some of my characters are not able to log in, at the character select screen they are listed as characters currently in GuildHall.  These characters happen to be in a south freeport guild hall.  My commonland and antonica guildhall characters are fine and i can log into them.</p><p>Any ideas?</p>

<p>As I posted in another thread, I'm running into this issue too (and will follow the steps above), but for me it's a single character, and all other characters (who logged out in the same guild hall) are able to log in without issue. So, it might be some combination of being logged out in the GH and something else. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p><p>Edit:  Had my petition answered and the character moved to the commonlands, but the behavior continues.  I don't think it's a guild hall thing... seems more like a character file thing.  (I found one other character on the account that does it too)</p>

<p>This is not intended to be a bump, but I realized that the edit to Rose's post might be easily missed. To reiterate, this is not just a Guild Hall problem (or there are two separate problems). She has two characters that cannot log in at all, even though one of them has been moved to the commonlands by GMs. In both cases, attempting to log them in goes all the way through the zone load sequence, briefly flashes the zone, and then dumps her back to the character selection screen. One of the two characters was able to log in post-GU 61, but cannot do so after the hotfix. The other has been unable to log in since GU 61, despite attempts on multiple computers. I know there are (obviously) GH issues that others are experiencing. It looks like that's not the only bug... I'm wondering if these char files have been corrupted somehow.</p><p>(I'm in the same guild, and all ~17 of my characters are able to log in without issue to that GH)</p>

<p>I have exactly the same problem. From the 7 toons I have , 2 cannot log in. Only one of them was in a guildhall and I have logged all the remaining five from the GH np at all.</p><p>A GM moved them to Commonlands but the problem persists and is exactly the same described above. These two characters go through the load sequence , brief commonland docks zone flash and then dumped to character select.</p><p>The last i see before the crash is that I have items in my overflow. </p>

<p>I am also having trouble logging in to characters in the S FP guild hall. I tried submitting a stuck petition as described above, but it is just sitting there saying "submitting" and nothing is happening. Any other suggestions?</p>

<p>Ok my submission issue was because it wanted a file that had not been loaded into my eq2 folder (but was in the LoN folder) MSVCP71.dll was the file. I just copied it from LoN ainto the EQ2 folder and the petition went in.</p>

<p>I am also having this issue on one character.  She is in Greater Faydark, I can see her flash in briefly then I get dropped to character select. </p><p>My character is a Fae Warden, level 57 and 90 Provisioner.  Just in case that has anything to do with anything.</p>

<p>I have had the same problem - was in GH and and my guildies removed my access so i am now in South Qeynos and the problem persists...</p><p>Kinda wish i was still in GH as this happened after first update gu61 and i kept trying and got moved to a safe spot in the GH and everything was fine zoning back and forth to the GH.</p><p>Is definately a character file issue - GH isnt the issue.</p><p>Tonight i login again and get booted to char select. My poor guild is down 1 MT healer tonight i suppose ;(</p>

<p>well all of the sudden one of my toons managed to log in last night. fixed the unattuned items and now it is ok.</p><p>the other one is still stuck in commonland docks though with all his item in the overflow and crashes after a brief flash of the docks. </p><p>funny though the one that is still having problems is my arasai dirge. maybe this update doesn't like wings much :p</p>

<p>I am now having the same problem as everyone above. I use the old patcher and had no troubles until this morning when I tried to log in characters that are in our T1 Guild Hall in New Halas. The only way I could log into the game at all was to create a new character and then send in a petition.</p><p>And I tried all my characters trying to get in. I would like to know when this is going to be fixed</p><p>I am now getting a message that says "There is currently no server for character's zone; please try again in a few minutes"</p>

<p>OK, so I can't get to most of my toons either, as they are, as they always are after I get done playing, in a guild hall. Most are in a NQ T1 GH, but a few are in a Qeynos T3 GH. Imagine how happy i was to find one of my toons not inside a GH. I log in to him, and find that once again, gear has all been reset, and AA's are all reset as well. OK, alright, if this is what it is going to take to play, I will redo this crap all over again. (Thinking it was going to be the last time on this toon, and I was going to be able to get some playing done.) Imagine my absolute irration, when after spending another hour setting his stats and gear AGAIN, I zone to get to where I need to be to start questing, and I notice that my buffs have all dropped, and I have 175 unspent AA points again. GDI SOE!!!! Get this fixed. And if you can't, figure out some way to make all this lost time and frustration right for your paying customers.</p><p>Edit: The Qeynos T3 GH now lets me log in. That toon is not having AA reset issues either, as I just bounced him around 4 different zones.</p>

<p><cite>Fistantantilus wrote:</cite></p><blockquote><p>well all of the sudden one of my toons managed to log in last night. fixed the unattuned items and now it is ok.</p><p>the other one is still stuck in commonland docks though with all his item in the overflow and crashes after a brief flash of the docks. </p><p>funny though the one that is still having problems is my arasai dirge. maybe this update doesn't like wings much :p</p></blockquote><p>For what it's worth, my one fae logs in just fine, and my guildmate (who is having the issue has 10 of her 12 characters as fae/arasai, and is able to log in the majority of them).  One of her characters has the log-all-the-way-in-then-crash-back-to-char-selection problem only sporadically (maybe 1 out of 10 attempts), while another one has it all the time (has been unable to log in yet).</p><p>For myself, I don't have any login problems, but have been seeing other occasional wonkiness, like items from the shared bank (non-attuneable items) showing up in my overflow when I log another character in, or characters skipping the countdown timer when camping and crashing to the char selection screen whatever my /camp <charname/desktop> intention was.</p><p>Basically, this GU screwed things up on a fundamental character level, and not just as far as itemization is concerned.</p>

<p>I've noticed some of these quirks as well. Last night, a few times when i'd use my evac spell on my dirge, it'd kick me out to the character select screen.</p><p>If I tried to log in my barbarian SK, it'd say something like "you already have a character in the world. Please try again later" but if i continued to click the log in button, it'd eventually let me log in.</p><p>I've also noticed that when I /camp [insert characters name here] it doesn't count down at all. Just instantly boots me to the character select screen.</p>
