So far, (I haven't been in the 'new areas' yet), gu61 has been good to me Just want to say 'thank you' to the devs for their work. Love the AA set up and trade skill tree!

I like the new AA set up, it allowed me to redo my AAs in a manner that i didnt have to waste points and they added/changed some AA's that i like. I have now explored a bit with my lowbie toon and im enjoying the added treasured loot from quests, seeing as i stop and do just about every quest i can find, yes i like to stop and smell the roses. By way love the new quests that were added. Sure a few items were changed in stats in a manner that made me not able to use them, they were unattuned, so no big deal, i replaced then and put other stuff in bank for another toon, wasnt a big deal.

So on that note, all this gloom and doom im seeing, isnt everyone's opinion, this is mine, just wanted SOE to see some of us are happy with the changes.

Yep! Thanks to everyone who's been slaving away at this. There may be hiccoughs but as a whole I'm liking it!

I'm glad you're liking it, but please understand that a lot of people are not, & have very valid reasons for being angry. This isn't just "whining", this is SOE pushing out a patch that was not ready, when they KNEW it wasn't ready, & screwing over a lot of paying customers in the process.

I am also one of the people who like the changes. My level 90 was able to, as others have said, get aa's I wanted while not having to spend points where I didn't want them.

My low level toons (yes way more than one) some needed a change of gear, but atleast they have gear now that makes sense. I even rolled a new toon and made a server discovery with pretty decent stats.

House rating system is awsome.

I have not yet been able to view the new floor tiles (keeps telling me I need to rerun the patch) but I'm okay with that.

even the flying squirrel mounts are cool. I'm looking forward to a future flying/leaping/gliding mount with an extremely evil appearance, rather than a pegasus or squirrel though. My ogre needs evil

Anyway, thank you for such a great game update. I can't wait for the next update, and for the new expansion in November. Not all of us think the programmers are doing a terrible job.

Peace

Count me in as another player, who isn't blowing a gasket, over this GU.

I love the changes to AA and the re-working of low level gear. Sure there are some weird things here, and there, but I do like that my questing rewards get a small boost in power.

I do think that the issues with raid gear need to be fixed as the lowering of stats for that kind of gear can put a halt to months of work....raiders need super stats to kill super monsters. However keep in mind that for all of us questers, explorers, and folks that muck about, the small gain is power isnt a bad thing....it helps us in a big way.

Please try and balance things out in coming mnths of tweaks and bug fixes...keeping all player groups happy makes this MMO the triple A title that it diserves to be.

...just my 2 copper.

I'm disappointed that there is kunark (level 80) gear that rivals DOV (lvl 90) heroic gear.

We also gave one of the new zones in Sinking Sands a shot, and it was beyond buggy (silent city). Firstly, the oblelisk that gives the quest, was not there -- so you get zero shards for completion, all linked encounters were harder (individually) than single pulls -- One mob from a linked encounter was parsing 32% more dps than single pulls, plus there were a few linked pulls that did massive aoe's per mob, which were about 7K per mob (total of 28K damage in one shot) that seemed to whipe out all of the casters and priests in the group on pull. The feathers were also very buggy, sometimes it wouldn't register in your knowledge book, sometimes it would, sometimes it would register as (Apprentice) and become completely unclickable ruining that instance or fight were you to be engaged on a named.

Edit: Oh and short players, gnomes, dwarves, fae, etc had herendous climbing problems in the zone. If you don't have a mage with you, you will find the zone very difficult to traverse if you're a short race.

In short, the aa changes were decent, but overall, the entire GU should have been shelfed on a release date for another 30 days or more.
