There was a patch today and I'm now getting this error message

g:liveeq2gameclientsrcclientapp.cpp (4010):no game assests found. Please launch the game from the patcher. 00418a53 010375e4

If the g: in the error message string is refering to a hard drive, I dont have one labeled g

That drive is server side. Are you using our latest LaunchPad for EQII? Also make sure you are running our LaunchPad as an admin by right-clicking the game icon and selecting Run as Admin.

Just in case here's our latest LaunchPad.

[EQII] LaunchPad

My wife was having difficulty logging in, so she did as you recommended and downloaded the new Launchpad. The new Launchpad then proceeded to download more than 12GB of stuff, which to my mind probably consists of the entire game.

Why would it want to do this? Given our paltry bandwidth quotas here in Australia it's a real pain that it's gone and done this. I was able to patch the game with no problem using the old launchpad, so for her to end up having to download so much seems quite absurd.

Are you able to offer a suggestion?

I too am receiving this messege when I try and log in. I have tried many of the suggestions already posted on this forum in the last day or so but none of them hav had any effect. I play on Splitpaw and although I use the old patcher (downloading the whole game to get a new on is not really an option) I can get onto the Test server...

ok, so the streaming EQ2 launcher works, albeit so slow I may as well hang myself.

Took 40min to get to the character select, and (so far) another 20min to get to 47% of loading zone resources...

To do so, follow these steps:

- Right-click your shortcut for EverQuest II Extended

- Select Properties

- Navigate to the Compatibility Tab

- Check the box labeled "Run this program as an administrator"

- Click 'OK' and re-launch the game

Tried that before and it didn't work. Have tried it again since downloading the new launchpad and that didn't work either. Interestingly the new shortcut that has gone on my desktop is that for the station laucher (despite having an EQ2 logo)... Oh, and Splitpaw is EQ2 Live if that helps

Just tried a reinstall using the launchpad linked above. No luck, as again I get the error linked above. Another interesting point is that if I try going via the patcher, everquestII.exe or even EQ2Map at this point it is still the SF version that loads...

Anyway, three of them none images ar clickable. The top three are shots of the patcher, the last one is a shot of the main problem.

That's our older retail LaunchPad. Please download the LaunchPad 3 I linked for you above and install it over that existing EQII game folder.

Double check the shortcuts, make sure its pointing to the new LaunchPad that you install. It's not running the right one.

Ok, I'll re-download it and reinstall it again to see if it makes any difference. Brb

You can uninstall the previous patchers first to be sure as well.

As in unstall all of EQ2 or just the patcher (how would I delete just the patcher)?

Still no luck. Was hoping the hot fix would have helped. I'm irritated, to say the least. I suppose I'll be off all weekend. Thinking of trying reinstalling the game. Shouldn't take all that long. Running full launcher already.

Pity, I was hoping there would have been some more info by now. If it's not a patcher/launchpad problem (considering I have the on linked above) what could it be?
