Any t8 raid gear that requires shards to get has not been updated. Also any WOE jewelry that is upgraded via Awnya N'Kval <Najena's Elemental Jeweler> is WORSE than the original dropped piece form WOE.

So basically as an example my t3 bracers from WOE have been upgraded as they are a chest drop and require no pattern turn in. My t4 bracers, which require a pattern turn in, are a lot worse.

I am part of a t8 progression guild and this will greatly effect us if is is not fixed.

The raid gear should be getting updated this weekend. We obviously are not going to be able to get every single piece but the goal is to get them done as we can. This applies to merchant gear as well in some cases.

That include gear from Sentinal's Fate? And Kunark era epics/enervated weapons as well? I was looking at gear I had on a copied character and had a whopping 3 items that had been changed in any way in all the items I had tucked away in my packraty bank/house vault.

You will likely see some older gear that used to be a specific class changing to usable by a different class. We are keeping an eye on procs etc and making sure that items with class specific stuff on them stay class specific. If you find specific items that do not follow that then please PM them to me or Silius and we will get them corrected.

What were the issues with mastercrafted? We were aware of a couple small issues and they should have been corrected this weekend (may or may not have made current build on test)

5 immediate glaring examples for me as a mage were:

Vertebrack: It was a symbol that generally only mages really cared for used.

Dark orb of the Mind: One of the original potency proc items, along with the Plasma wand, that mages sought after. The Munzok symbol was created later to be similar to it.

Mercurial Wind blade: A mage weapon through and through, no scout or fighter in the day it was released would have ever wanted it, and its original stats were clearly mage oriented.

The arm guard of the farseer: Although not an amazing item now, was sought after by mages in the past along with the Praetor's guard, and it had the benefit of having a shield like appearance for a mage.

Magmadin's eye: A mage symbol/shield pretty much, I did not know a single priest that ever actually wore it.

These items originally mage oriented, are now on test not mage usable.

What the original poster has stated about jewelery and other things now changed in stats to different classes is not just a case of one or two items in T8. There's simply too many to list. We're talking entire sets of raid gear from zones that were originally designed for specific classes now completely turned upside down. In some cases there are no viable replacements for classes who lost what was originally gear that they could use.

All you have to do to see a small example of this is look at all the cloaks that drop from Aiden in Ward of Elements. This is the final boss in the raid zone and there are 4 different possible cloaks dropped by this boss. Each cloak was designed for different roles (tank, melee DPS, healer, and mage).

So what do the cloaks look like now after the stat changes? 3 of them are now scout cloaks based on their primary stats: agi/sta (although retaining their old equipped effects geared toward mage, healer, etc. which is kind of funny) and 1 is a mage cloak for giving int/sta.

The Champions Cape of Solid Stance, which was a great tank cloak because it gave good phsyical mitigation, str, sta, etc. has now lost basically all of that. Where did physical mitigation go? No more str? It is effectively a scout cloak now based on the primary stats. The Tri-element Loop was a healer ring, now it's a fighter ring based on its primary stats, yet it's equipped effects are only beneficial for healers.

Anyways, this is just a small example. It looks like as far as all the fabled miscellaneous drops that come from Ward of Elements, the biggest losers are fighters followed closely by healers. There's hardly anything there for fighters now. Things that used to be great for them seem to be now mostly geared for scouts now even though scouts already had other gear that was just fine for them in this zone.

Look at all the bracers that drop off of Captain Grush in Ward of Elements. The bracers are parts of sets, of which there are sets for warriors, crusaders, clerics, etc. Many of the set bracers are messed up. They don't match what their sets were designed for. For example, Volcanic Knight's Tempered Bracers is part of the crusader set (usable only by paladin/shadow knight) and now is usable by all plate classes with stats geared for a healer. I found the same problem for the warrior set bracer too. I would take a look at Captain Grush's loot table and compare to what it was before the stat changes.

Strictly speaking about Ward of Elements, there was a good balance of gear for the primary roles in raid that dropped in this zone and now it's all messed up. Please look into this and fix the gear balance match what each piece was designed for before these stat changes. If you need a list of the miscellaneous fabled drops, look at the merchant Awnya N'KVal in Lavastorm because she also provides upgraded versions of all of the fabled miscellaneous gear from Ward of Elements (which have yet to have their stats updated). I haven't looked at the x4 TSO raid drops very much yet, but don't forget this idea of balance as well for the gear that come from the x4 raid zones. Also, any word on mythical weapons and their stat changes?

There is just so much great content in TSO and I hate to see the raid gear in the state it is in right now.

Thanks!

If using some automated script, it should really be able to determine:

1) What classes can currently use it, and ensure that remains unchanged.

2) What archetype(s) the item was originally weighted towards, and ensure the updated item has stats for those same archetype(s).

How hard can it be to use those 2 qualifiers?

Letting an automated script just go and change all rings (in a particular area of the game) to Scout, seemingly at random, is a disaster waiting to happen. And it's not just old items either - whatever script updated the *MAGE* HM (heroic) Zek charm (Finger of the Zek Destroyer) to add a proc - well, it now has a proc that only procs off combat hits!

This kind of half-hearted work isn't very reassuring to the player base. Considering how important itemization is to the overall progression of the game at all levels, seeing such lazy work being done does not give us much hope for other aspects of the game that may require just as much care. If this is the face of things to come, tell us now so we can make our decision.

Characters loosing items they have been using for extended periods of time due to stat changes should be changed.

Alright so now we have a situation where is looks like the t2 lvl 80 shard gear has been upgraded and the t3 and t4 have not. Also some of the jewelry has been done but it changes form a scout item to a tank item when you upgrade it. It all seems very random and untested. Hope you have enough time to fix these obvious mistakes before going live
