I've been working on older content, working my way through all the quests in each zone. I've just finished Darklight Wood. Of all the starter areas I've done (I think Frostfang is the only one I may not have finished yet) I really enjoyed this one.

The graphics are smooth for lack of a better description, and the housing architecture is beautiful, including Hate's Envy, Shade Oak and Tower of Bone.

The music cues work really well in this zone, different areas will have different music, but the zone is never silent, which means it's never boring (and quite frankly I think music and ambient sounds really add to the feel of a zone).

Something I didn't even notice until just now as I'm typing this, Hate's Envy even has social ambience while you're in the town, you can hear the citizens chatting. I always loved that about the market areas in Plane of Knowledge and Shadow Haven in EQ1.

Some of the other forest ambient sounds also remind me of the ambient sounds you'd hear in Warsliks Wood in EQ1 Kunark, which I also loved <3

And this last bit isn't really look and feel worthy, but the quests were both easy and entertaining!

Since sometimes we forget to post about the things we like about the game, I wanted to share this feedback here
