<div><p>Hey all, I played EQ2 a bit (highest character level 19) way back and while I liked it I was playing a few games at the time and EQ2 was the one that fell by the wayside. Recently I fired up my 45 free days and am looking to give it a real go and hopefully sub in and continue on when the days run out. What i'm looking for is some character guidance. I want to start fresh and really learn the game. I've always liked spell casters but have played all types of characters over the years. Any suggestions on fun spell casting characters that can solo but would still be wanted in groups? I do like grouping. Are there any to stay away from that are not wanted in groups? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!</p></div> <div></div> <div><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"><tbody><tr><td></td><td > </td> <td> </td><td > </td> <td> </td><td ></td> <td ></td></tr></tbody></table></div> <div><div></div></div>

<p>Make a enchanter ether a coercer or illy are great. High demand for both for groups and for raiding and both can solo well. Not quite as well as the conj's and necro but they solo well.</p>

<p>Enchanters are definatly the way to go. They're in high demand for groups, if you're good at them they can solo the best and they are IMO the most fun to play.</p>

<p>Most casters are straight forward. Root the mob/put the peton the mob... nuke the mob into next year.</p><p>Enchanters have many benefits that wizards don't have but they are not really straighgt forward. You have to stun, mez, root, interupt and nuke. If you get good at seeing what you need to do and how it works then enchanetrs are VERY powerful. If not then your a buff bot that throws spit wads compared to the other casters but every group still wants one.</p><p>A good enchanter can solo stuff that a wizard would never dream of.</p><p>I took my coercer into a zone that had a very weak healer in the group. After the first wipe I ended up getting into a stunn stiffle rotation that made it so the healer didn't have to heal much at all. My DPS went down a bit but it got the group through and I had the tools to do it. The other casters just nuke and kill and only have a tiny bit of other stuff they can offer.</p>
