<p>I am using the Launchpad version (aka "the streaming client".  I sign into Test, hit "Play" and after a few seconds I get a message saying the program has shut down...  I've attached the text from the windows box that pops up.  I've deleted the file "assetdb.dll" that it mentions from the TestServer folder, but get the same result...</p><p>The regular version of the game runs fine...  I know there were some issues with DirectX, I downloaded the lastest installer from Microsoft and ran it; no problems...  HP Laptop dual core, 3.00gb RAM, AMD4250 Mobility...  nothing hardcore, but it gets the job done and doesn't look too shabby in the process.  Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit, all patches applied.  The only thing "wonky" is I have Windows Live Mesh to connect to my computer at the office...</p><p>Any ideas?</p><p>[begin paste]</p><p><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"></span><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"></span></span></p><p><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"></span></p><p><strong><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"><p>Problem signature:</p></span></span></strong><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><p>Problem Event Name: APPCRASH</p><p>Application Name: EverQuest2.exe</p><p>Application Version: 1.0.0.1</p><p>Application Timestamp: 4e42fdc5</p><p>Fault Module Name: assetdb.dll</p><p>Fault Module Version: 1.1.0.0</p><p>Fault Module Timestamp: 4ddaaa54</p><p>Exception Code: c0000005</p><p>Exception Offset: 0000ccfa</p><p>OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3</p><p>Locale ID: 1033</p><p>Additional Information 1: 0a9e</p><p>Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789</p><p>Additional Information 3: 0a9e</p><p>Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789</p></span><strong><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"><p>Read our privacy statement online:</p><strong></strong></span></span></strong><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?lin...mp;clcid=0x0409</a></span><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><p>If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline:</p><font size="1"></font></span><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;">C:Windowssystem32en-USerofflps.txt</span></span></span></p><p><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="color: #0066cc; font-size: xx-small;">[END PASTE]</span></span></p></p></p>

<p>The problem seems to be that Test needs to be run elevated to Administrator mode, otherwise program terminates. At least this is the issue with me (non-streaming client).</p><p>I don't use the streaming client so I don't know how you can go about it, but I'd suggest trying to start the Launchpad as administrator and see if that solves it.</p><p>D.</p>
