EQ2 live and extended do not share game files/folders and also need to be installed separately. I've included a link to our latest LaunchPad below just in case you are using an older one.

[EQII] LaunchPad

I am using the latest launcher and it is up to date with no corrupted files- i even scanned the game assets with the launcher...however, which should i be using? i downloaded the Full version- not the Streaming version.

Thats the one you should be using. Perhaps you could check or uncheck Shader 3 and see if that allows you to see the creatures. Also, if you can PM me a copy of your EQ2_recent.ini I can look over your display settings just in case.

Looks like you are using the old LaunchPad according to our server logs. What may have happened is you installed both our latest LaunchPad and then LP1, our older patcher, on top of it. Please re-download our latest LaunchPad 3 for Everquest II from the link in my previous post and use the Full download version. Re-install to the same folder you are currently using.

Next, open the PAKS folder under Everquest II and delete the following files. Every one of these files reported an error on download with your connection. Deleting them will prompt a redownload of these files. Make sure you don't have any security software active as well that may be blocking or protecting your game folder. This includes antivirus and firewall software.

C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II/paks/Char_exp01_animals.vpk

C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II/paks/Char_exp01_dragon.vpk

C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II/paks/Char_exp01_harpy.vpk

C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II/paks/Char_exp01_lizardman.vpk

C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II/paks/Char_exp01_orc.vpk

C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II/paks/Char_ECB.vpk

C:/Users/Public/Sony Online Entertainment/Installed Games/EverQuest II/paks/Char_exp01_specter.vpk

I am currently updating EQ2 right now- just 1 question though- will the PAKS folder only appear in the Everquest II folder AFTER the updating?
