I need to kill this mob for my Illusionists Fabled Weapon. Last night, I got a guildie to help me (90 Bruiser). However, it appeared that this mob would keep resetting at 10% health. We were aware of the Charm, but even when she didn't use the charm, she still reset. My guildie switched out the brigand with a 90 Bruiser, with the same results.

Anyone know if this mob is indeed bugged, or are we missing a component to the fight?

I was a bit irritated that I had someone to actually help me, only to waste 45 minutes trying to kill a mob that would not die.

Last time I did this with an illy and a bruiser, the way I had it work was just dpsing until the charm is due to hit (it's timed from the start of the fight). When the charm is close to being fired, just start spamming cure arcanes on the tank. When you cure the charm, finish the fight.

Short answer... You have to have 3 people in the group.

Thanks for the feedback. Me and a Monk were able to defeat her tonight. The key was taking it slow, because her charm is on a timer based on her health. So I would cure the first charm, and then we do not do any damage until my cure was up again. Damage, cure, wait, repeat.

I really hate charms breaking encounters, it's just amazingly lame. I wish that a charm would turn into a stun or mandate-like effect if there are no other foes on the aggro list, at least then the MOB would actually have to be capable of killing you to end the fight. As it is, a scripted, unavoidable charm makes even the most trivial MOB literally impossible to solo.

What sort of pet did you use? Does a limited pet like the horde of monkies from the Oddly Shaped Whistle work?

The actual pet item I used was shard of fear that summons fright and terror, 2 limited pets. I assume any pet item would work, you just need something on her when the charm hits to stop her resetting.

While duo'ing this fighter, a mystic pet managed to "break" the encounter at about 10% so that no loot or update would be rewarded. The mob was taking too much damange to just back off and try to reset it, and I had to wait for a respawn.

I've seen pet bug things out in raids too, randomly, on trash mobs. Can't say I know why it happens. And yes, fights that break because of a charm is mean, especially when you try to kill something solo.

get rid of mandate effects, useless if doing solo.

why do we have this spell effect junk? older zones' gears and drops are outdated, some just want appearances.

i understand the need for update the old quests.

but mandate effect? that person who put in the game should be tarred and feathered.

Queen does not cast mandate, irrelevant to this topic. If you want to cry about mandate start another thread.

The queen can actually bug out pretty bad and reset every time she dies with no loot/updates. The way I fixed it was to pull it with a pet.
