Hotzone change times?

<p>And on that subject  - I've always wondered...</p><p>Does the hotzone flag get checked at time of zone creation, or when each chest drops?</p><p>(ie, if ISK is the hotzone Wednesday, and I start the zone on Wednesday, but come back and finish on Thursday, is the instance still hot?)</p><p>Doesn't come up that often, but as I said, I've always wondered...</p>

<p>I believe I recall a Dev stating once that HZ status was not tied to the instance, but the actual drop calculation when a MOB is killed, and therefore if the HZ switches mid-instance, you no longer get the improved Fabled chances for the remainder of that instance. This very well may have been changed at some point, though, and it was so long ago that I can't verify the source.</p>
