Yeah, many of the crafting recipes are available and Heirloom. But I'd rather not tediously grind faction for each and every one of my characters. A faction grind can be fun and rewarding -- once. Past that, it's needless tedium.

Thurgadin Forgemasters should absolutely be added to the list of available Tokens of Loyalty. Adventurers can "share" their capped faction grind with all their characters. Crafters should be able to as well.

Also, if other Tokens of Loyalty are being made (for older content, for instance), please remember to make the crafter versions of those factions available for purchase as well.

Thanks!

I agree, this would be nice, especially for older content. Thurgadin isn't too bad but I have raised it to 40k three times already.

While we are on the subject of Tokens of Loyalty for crafters, I'd like to add to the list:

Far Seas Supply Division

Bathezid' Watch

Rillis

Legion of Danak

(I remember grinding writs and faction the hard, old fashion way on 9 crafters to get Master Crafter, The Earring of Solstice, and the needed t8 rares. Did I mention I did this on a pvp server when the level span range "unlimited"?)

Guktan Guard

Tupta

Grobb

(You know the drill, had to do The Ship Out quest on 9 crafters,, pvp server, again, unlimited level range, and wanted to be able to make all the faction furniture, which meant either having a high level adventurer, OR grinding the daily crafting missions)

Kerra Isle Outfitters

Hua Mein Crafters

Researchers of Quel'Ule

Paineel Craftkeepers

(Rinse, repeat)

Court of Blades

Court of Truth

Court of Coin

(I can't tell you what a PITA it is to blow up guards to get coins to turn in for faction to buy Ancient Teaching recipes and Advanced recipe books for level 50-59 for as many crafters as I have)

Othimir Artisan's

Forgemasters of Thurgadin

Snowfang Gnolls

I must REALLY LOVE crafting. I have 22 toons on my account,, all crafters, and let me tell you,, I would LOVE to be able to get Tokens of Loyalty for crafters because it will give my current guildies incentive to level up all their crafters without the unnecessary, boring, tedium I went through in leveling all mine. It will free us up to accomplish reaching "end game" adventuring on more of our toons, which from the Fan Faire recap, seems to be the direction we are all getting pushed towards anyways. Great for me, albiet a little slow going up until now, as I have had to hold back alot of my adventuring to help get my guildies get caught up in all aspects of what this game offers.

No faction tokens to shortcut quests, please.

The two tokens they've added are really just to let you buy Thurg/RyGorr armor for all your alts, without having to list all 24x6 pieces on the merchant. The only "unintended" consequence I see is getting into the daily-one-shard mission earlier (since that requires 10K Thurgadin faction.) And I'd be cool with them changing the in for the daily from "10K faction" to "completion of the longest Thurgadin questline" to compensate.

If you want your armor crafted (rather than bought for extra shards), the tokens add almost nothing... other than the three non-armor pieces sold by the RyGorr armor merchant, everything else was already heirloom. So the tokens give you those three items, plus an early in for the daily shard quest. Woo. Not even comparable to shortcutting the "faction grind" portion of the Prayer Shawl/Sledgemallet/etc questlines.

It's a signature quest that you can now skip the tedium if you have already completed it. And it is a required quest for a number of further quests. I've completed the faction grinds on 5 different tradeskills. Of what benefit is it, to have to repeat it 4 more times?

Having to do faction grinds over and over again just makes people not want to play the game. They think about doing it and they decide it isn't worth it and find something better to do with their time.

My statement you bolded was in resopnse to someone's argument that allowing the Tokens to affect rtadeskill factions would mean people could unlock those factions needed for PotP and the Prayer Shawl quests through those tokens. My statement was that even if they go live as currently configured that people will be able to use them to bypass faction grinds needed for quests. I used the Epic questlines as an example to illustrate the point.

My assumption about them being made for older content stemmed from earlier posts in this thread where people were comming up with wishlists, so if that was wrong, then I guess my entire post can be summed up with "Nothing to see here, move along"
