for the last few days I been looking over gear thats been changed in GU61, and alot of its being changed so its no longer relevant to the previous classes it was meant for.

like the scout cloak in runnyeye 2 is a mage cloak....

the scout/tank ring from varsoon is now a mage ring.

the tank belt in guk, is a scout belt now.

theres tons and tons of gear that was initially meant for specific classes - but now its limited to just a few.

like the bard/crusader earring from veksar - now its only crusader.

theres tons of old scout/tank gear that has 30+ haste on it - thats now totally itemized as mage gear.

with so many changes happening, and so many items being removed from the usefulness of certain items, it would be a [Removed for Content] good idea to just unattune everything on Gu61. cause theres alot of gear I use to use - but now will have sitting in my bags, cause I can no longer equip it, or the stats are all wrong for the toon that currently has the item.

I've feedbacked about 100 items today - but I still think the day GU61 hits, its gonna be alittle shock for some people who keep a few key old items around for whatever reason - and now they cant use it.

I really feel like there are going to be so many negative consequences from the gear overhaul. Things like class shouldn't be changing, and gear should gets stats appropriate to all classes that can equip the item. Leave the options, don't restrict things. I'm also hoping gear that had effects prior isn't losing any old effects..

Mages already have a mage cloak from Runnyeye, there's no reason to take it away from Scouts.

I have to agree, a lot of the item changes that I saw on Test looked totally wrong.

i dont see them allowing us to unattune everything in our banks. perhaps, instead, they can unattune items that we are currently wearing when the update goes live OR give us a potion(s) that will allow us to unattune 21 items, provided that it has an expiration date of 2 weeks after game update.

i doubt that they would do that, either. they didnt allow us to do that when they made these odd changes a year ago and then more changes a few months ago. remember when sentinel's fate came out? i have some characters who are the same level that they were back then. (they are tradeskillers.) the gear that they wear made sense prior to sentinel's fate but its laughable now. i'm really glad that i did not change their gear when sentinel's fate came out and then again when velious came out bc its changing again when the next "expansion" is sold. it seems to be a pattern.

i logged into test to see the changes in the gear but that did not work out so well for me; therefore, i have no idea how bad (or good?) the changes are. right now, my berserker is wearing only one ring and one bracelet bc the HANDCRAFTED jewelery is marked "lore". supposedly, that was fixed a while ago. i really hope that enough ppl /feedback and the devs paid attn that it is not a total mess.

I can verify that as of today, the enervated dirge myth has not yet been adjusted to become tank or mage only... =P

They've done the unattuning thing before. I remember having quite a few things both on me and in my bank that became unatuned a year or two ago following a lot of gear changes, and so I could reassign some to an alt that benefit more from it.

With as much as they are fubaring all of this reitemization, they darn well better unattune all gear because of it.

Seriously, changing which classes can even use the gear?!Does SoE actually think anything out before diving in head first?

If SOE pushes another Test patch with the latest updated items and changes on it, we may help further reduce the number of bugs sneaking through that often get overlooked in the larger mix.

The Dirge Myth still has STR and INT on it, will it be getting an updated stat pass?

Have any other class Myths been updated?

I just don't understand how everyone could complain about itemization all expansion long, and then you use the same terrible script to redo itemization for the entire game. Yes, I understand there are thousands of items in the game, but itemization should NEVER be done with a script. It simply creates too many flaws and bugs and inconsistent loot that doesn't remotely make sense. You cannot simply destroy all the work people have put in over YEARS of playing this game, getting items that are useful to them, and suddenly make it for a completely different class on a whim.

I laughed when the aITEM -879661432 -1038638506:Dark Orb of the Mind/a I have in the bank went from mage/priest (with stats for both) to just priest usable (with WIS only). And this is just an example of one of many items.

You simply can not remove classes from items, without there being a huge uproar from the playerbase. All classes that can use an item on Live atm, should be able to use the item after GU61. Granted there are some items that are usable by all classes, but with stats that are beneficial to just one archetype. In cases like this, you should either add stats for all archetypes to the item, or just provide updated stats to the one archetype that the original item was already weighted towards. However, under no circumstances should you remove any classes from being able to use an item, that could previously use that item!

GU61 is going to break the game worse than it's ever been broken before. I can guarantee you that.
