I know this has been asked before but can't find a recent post. It seems like every couple years my computer takes a dump. This time I am thinking about getting a new imac. Can I play eq2 on this? I have heard of people using a program called boot camp or something to do this. Just wondering if anyone else out there has been playing on a mac and how it plays compaired to a pc

There use to be issues with getting DX9 to be fully recognized under boot camp but I am not a mac user and have not kept up with it.

It just boot up your mac in different partition that has a different OS installed. Bootcamp setup all your mac's drivers for windows, and it is really easy to setup. I am running EQ2 on a 2010 macbook pro (bootcamp with windows xp) and it runs perfectly fine. I do have a problem with the macbook mic driver on windows. Everything I said would come in a really low voice. My guildmates said I talk like an Ogre. I checked on the web and found that the driver from bootcamp is missing the mid range or something. I have to download an unofficial driver somewhere.. because Apple knew about it and haven't fix it.

Before I tried Bootcamp, I did try to run EQ2 on a virtual machine in OSX. It ran... at about 5 fps.
