Let's assume your standard mob of 1000 xp.

1000xp + 1000xp Vitality + 600xp Veteran Bonuses (I have 3 90s) + 1100 exp potion = 3700xp.

3700xp * 2 = 7400xp for a single mob.

I already get about 2500xp per kill when grinding in the Hole, or 5000+ when farming in contested Kael. Doubling that would mean over 10% AA per kill on trash... which would be virtually game breaking. Saying double base exp is not false advertizing. Vitality is just another bonus like a potion would be.

However, experience bonuses are added, not multiplied. This change was made more than a year ago. Ergo, both yourself and retro_guy are incorrect. The linked article explains why the change was made, and how multiplying bonuses (which is what you incorrectly believe happens) resulted in vastly-inflated XP amounts.

I've been eagerly awaiting the next double AA weekend. I know this one was unplanned and is concerned an apology gift for the spire event problems. HOWEVER, this is also Tinkerfest, that happens only one week out of the entire year. And for those of us with busy schedules, the only time is the weekend itself.

Having two temporarily available simultaneously occuring activities shouldn't be happening. No one else in this thread has mentioned it, so I guess everybody just needs a little of both or some of one, making me the only fool that wishes to maximize both. Taking a day away from a double AA weekened (which are almost entirely unpredictable), in favor of Tinkerfest, would be very costly since I'm not AA maxed on anything. And because Tinkerfest will be going on for longer than the AA weekend (presumably), I am now obligated to ignore this weekend of Tinkering, and hope that I get everything I need on the following weekend.

I really dont wanna complain about being given something for nothing, but I also feel like I shouldnt have to point this out. We probably have 3 to 4 double AA weekends on average throughout the year. But because we don't know WHEN they'll occur, it's a scramble to make time availability. But I had already sectioned off this block of time for another rare, but predictable, event in the same game.

Thank you for the double AA weekend. I really do need it, and more of them. Just if you would, in the future, try not to overlap events that both offer min/max opportunity.

I will most likely focus on leveling while bonus exp is on, and then work on the tinkerfest stuff after the bonus weekend is over, but im not sure how long tinkerfest is going on for-anyone know?
Just wanted to chime in with another "raises hand" for double guild xp sometime. My guild is just my husband and myself so leveling it is fairly slow at times. The last double guild xp we had allowed us to level the guild to 30 for our guild hall. It was great!
