Its second meaning was the Cobalt Scar, where Veeshan had struck Norrath with her claw.

Veeshan marked her territory by digging her claw into Velious. Two of her talons created the canyons found in the Western Wastes. http://www.eqmacwiki.com/eqatlas/we...nwastesmap.html Her backclaw created the Great Divide in it's entirety.

That map makes sense.

When they released DoV they should have at least made a rough map of the rest of velious And not that crappy fog of war'd off area they usually put in ><

Oh yeah that's right. The Cobalt Scar was made by her 3rd talon. I forgot about that one.

Well the Cobalt Scar is now destroyed, but the other two may yet exist. Not to mention, all you have to do is run from Thurgadin to Storm Gorge if you want to walk in one of them already.

The Othmir settlement in that area certainly was. Life may have returned to that area since then. Some Othmir may even still live in the area if they took shelter in the Siren's Grotto...assuming the entire cave system didn't collapse.

The Storm Gorge was created by the Upheval, which is a fairly recent event. According to the map further up this thread the only portion of the scars we should have access to is the valley where the Waking Lands is at (i.e. that deforested area behind Kael with the Bloom of Corruption).

The books that you get from the Othmir quests at the start of Velious say that it was.

The current layout of Velious (EQ2) makes absolutely no sense compared to the EQ1 layout.

Looks like the fingers have really drifted. I guess that comes from loosing most of it's mass.

BTW I hope the scars/western Waste Dwarf EW and [Removed for Content] in size while being more tractless-waste-like That and being on the map as more south-pole-ish .

And he hopes it has a more barren and desolate appearance. I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with with the latter tho -- I'll take a smaller and more texturally varied area over miles and miles of featureless nothingness any day!

Also, keep in mind that the ingame map isn't accurate as far as continent distance and placement is concerned either, it's purely a transportation convenience.

I was noting that according to the posted map. The Tower of Frozen Shadow has moved from one side of the Eastern Waste to the other (Closer to the Great Divide)

I however was not disputing that it couldn't happen as it seems to have been built on an Iceberg that was once Ice-locked but is now apparently drifting and tilting.

I don't mind Contralvuted Teraine just see TOO much of it. I get tired of outdoor mazes I want to see some wide open spaces for Pete's Sake

I could see something like this done for western wastes on a slightly larger scale but i wouldnt have many zones like this.

One day it was in Iceclad Ocean (and probably still level) and the next day it suddenly moved to its current location and ended up a bit tilted.
